“We are pleased to invite you to the party organized by Sir Williams. We hope to see you there Miss Blanc. Dress code ~ sophisticated look with a touch of red. We hopefully will have the opportunity to discuss the go ahead plans for both our companies. ~love Dennis.” She read the invitation letter again before setting it on her table. “A party this evening? Such little time for such a big information? Dennis never uses his brain. Never. I don’t even understand if he even has a brain inside that big skull of his. I’ll go meet Jack and Stefan and find out if they’ve also received this invitation.” Just as she got out of her chair to leave her office, her brothers swarmed in. “Heading somewhere?” Jack asked. “Yes actually. I was on my way to both your offices to know if you received the invitation to Dennis’s party?” “As a matter of fact, we have.” Stefan said as they held up their invitation cards. “Lovely then.” “But can we trust Dennis not to go back on his word? He’s a cunning fellow and he can turn on us any time any day,” “Dennis is head over heels obsessed with me, that should count for something,” “Charm does not always count for something especially in a line of business like ours.” Jack explained. “We just have to give him the benefit of doubt then, hopefully he does not go back on his word.” “This is strictly for werewolves,” Stefan said as he took a second look at the invitation letter in his hand. The rest looked at it looking at the different wolf heads at the end of the invitation letter. “Interesting. Anything can happen at that party, so everyone has got to be on their A-game and be one hundred percent alert.” Rose said to her brothers. “Anyways, what’s the best excuse to party and meet new chics than this, hello party! Here I come!” Stefan said with excitement while Jack just smiled. Rose just rolled her eyes and returned to her seat. “Oh come on Rose, can’t you just find an excuse to loosen up?” “And end up like you two? Heck no. Not interested,” “End up like us?” “In denial, leaving the revenge up to me?! It’s totally unfair how none of you acknowledged the fact that I had gotten under the Reeds’ skin and put them an inch below us,” “Truth is we don’t want to be fighting,” “Jack! Our father was murdered! Murdered!” “We aren’t so sure of that Rose,” she looked at her brothers in disbelief shaking her head and fighting so hard to control the tears in her eyes that were finding it so hard to break free and stream down her face uncontrollably. “Our mother died of a heart attack. I saw my father in a pool of his own blood! In a forest that we have tight surveillance on, he just died. And you’re telling me that you’re not sure that he was murdered?! Really Jack! Really?! How on earth do you explain this?!” She opened her drawer and threw the transparent bag with a bracelet in it, “Where did you get this?” “Father had his right?” She pushed up the sleeve of her blazer revealing the beaded bracelet sitting on her wrist, with. J in the middle. “Care to explain what a similar beaded bracelet with a D on it was doing right beside father’s dead body?! Huh?” Her brothers looked at the bracelet in their hands and she snatched it from them throwing it in the drawer. “It’s cool if you want to call me crazy and stupid for wanting to follow through with my plan for revenge. But what you will not do is insult the death of father! Get out of my office.” “Rose just listen,” “I said get out!” She screamed at them. Sadly, Jack and Stefan left her office and she let out a loud scream hitting her table so hard. She picked up the picture frame with both of her parents in it, using her fingers to wipe away the dust from it. “I miss you both so much. You’ve given me more than competition now against the Reeds but I cannot accomplish this mission on my own and I need both of your supports. Help me, help me gain revenge for your deaths. It was very cruel and unfair. And to think that Dominic wanted to take away all of your hard work. He’ll surely pay for this. Blood for blood. The Blancs never give up! Although it looks like I’m the only one that’s keeping up that legacy.” She soliloquized. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ She picked her black long backless dress, with a red ribbon sitting on it. She slipped it on her perfectly fit petite body. She tied her hair up in a ponytail, applying her mascara, blush and lipgloss on her lips. She wore her silver necklace and earrings with black gloves on her hand. She wore her favorite jimmy choo heels and had one final glance at herself in the mirror with her purse in hand. “Sophisticated. Classy. The perfect look for a Luna werewolf. I wonder when my perfect prince Alpha will come save me from this dungeon.” She walked out of her room after applying her favorite perfume. “I know you want to kill me, but so much perfume really? You’ll kill everyone.” Stefan said to her choking . She simply rolled her eyes at him but he extended his elbow to her, “I can’t leave my sister alone, especially to walk down the stairs. What if she trips and falls? Her bride price will definitely reduce and I can’t afford that. I need to be compensated for dealing with her crazy self my entire life,” “Making light hearted jokes will not make me forgive you and Jack, Stefan. You’re literally throwing away something that I consider extremely important to me.” “Rose, we completely understand you.” “No you don’t!” She removing her hand from his. “If you did, you would support my idea, my plans. You would help me to execute it,” “We’re dealing with the Reeds here Rose, we cannot afford to be careless or deal with the situation just based off our emotions.” “I’m not basing anything or doing anything just because of my emotions! He deserves to die for killing my father.” “You have no proof that he killed father.” Jack said to her and she shook her head. “Of course, I’m always alone in everything, so I’m not surprised. You both can enjoy your journey to the party because there is absolutely no way I’m going to that party with you both.” “Rose, you cannot become a lone wolf on tonight of all nights.” “Watch me!” She glared at her brothers before walking out on them. “Bye granny,” she kissed her granny on her cheeks before she grabbed her car keys and jacket from the rack just before the door and left the building. Rose got into her Range Rover SV and drove off right before Stefan and Jack could stop her. “I just can’t believe this girl!” Jack said kicking the air. “What’s there not to believe? You’re ruining everything by pushing her away.” “I didn’t want her to be involved.” “She is our sister. Of course she is involved. She has the natural instincts of a Luna werewolf, have you not seen mother? Did you see what happened to her after father died? She went completely weak, and lost her will to live. The same thing goes for you Jack. As an alpha male, you’re most likely going to be attracted to a Luna and that’s domineering, and that is who Rose is. I can’t believe I still have to explain these things to you.” “Oh shut up Stef,” “You had better work things out with Rose or else she will cause a whole lot of problems for you as well.” “I’ve heard you.” “Anyways, where is your imprinted girlfriend that you’ve been dying to introduce to me? Did she stand you up?” Stefan said in a mocking tone. Just then a car drove in stopping before them. “Nope, she’s right here sucker.” She wound down her window flashing a wide smile at Jack and Stefan, “Hello babe,” “Babe? Gross.” Stefan rolled his eyes as he walked over to his car and Jack got in the car with his girlfriend. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “Rosie,” Dennis said hugging her so tight. Dennis was an ugly looking guy, a family friend to Rose but also a business partner that they have to treat with caution due to his bad history of deals. “It’s Rose, Dennis. You know I hate when you call me Rosie,” “Oh my love, don’t be so uptight now,” “Yeah, don’t call me that either Dennis.” “Oh Rosie,” he said laughing nervously. “Always as serious as ever. Come, let me introduce you to some very influential and important people that can help your business.” “I like the sound of that.” Rose said slipping her hand in his. Dennis was extremely tall, he just like the rest were also descendants of the Quileute tribe. He was extremely influential in his line of business but was very untrustworthy due to all of his scams and shams. “Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to my princess,” Rose gave an awkward smile and wave at the people she was standing in front of. She knew she could not react or cause a scene because she didn’t want to forgo potential clients so she kept up the act smiling and waving like a robot. “Rosie! She’s very smart and extremely good at her job. She runs the black market that sells very good oils, and oh she’s good at it.” That very moment, she was fighting so hard not to kick Dennis into the air and dismantle his entire body. Just then a familiar and unwanted face popped up. “Hello Rose.” “What a lovely reunion. Well, Rose meet Storm, Storm, Rose. My newest business partners!” Dennis said with a smile on his face. Storm and Rose gave him a confused panicked look. “Partners?!” “Partners?! Dennis are you mad or high on drugs?!” Rose yelled at him in anger.
