Eric has been by my side the whole day, waiting patiently as the torturous minutes tick by. He left to get me some coffee… and red meat of all things. He said that my “wolf” side would be craving it, so sometimes it can help curb the side effects. I ate a few bites of the giant steak he brought back, but couldn’t stomach much more. So now I’m back to being sprawled out on my bed in pain. “Will you continue school?” He asks. I’ve progressed to laying on my back with my arm slung over my eyes, but I still can’t sit up to talk to him. “I’d like to,” I answer with a sigh.  He doesn’t respond, so I know he’s not happy about that idea… but he’s not going to question me.
