In all races, being pureblood is life, but being mixed blood is death. Layla's entire life is shrouded in secrecy, but those secrets will never be protected. The land of vampires will host the summit of werewolves, vampires, and wizards. She didn't have an option because it was ordered from the top. It was simple to escape potential risk, however danger itself came to her as ancient powers of darkness awakened.

Chapter I: Winter Field Castle
“Remember who you are, Layla, a pureblood witch,” her mother said in front of the mirror, caressing her long platinum blond hair that reached her waist. Her eyes, like her mother's, are like deep oceans. Their skin is as white as ice and as cold as ice, owing to the fact that they live in the coldest part of the world. It's a Heartfield trait, one of the remaining strong and pureblood witches and warlocks, but are they truly pureblood? Maybe they are, but she and her mother are not purebloods, and even their own family is unaware of this. Layla's Grandfather, who died five years ago, is the only one who knows their secret. Her mother is a hybrid, a half-blood witch and half-blood werewolf, and she is a tribrid, part werewolf, witch, and vampire. "Keep yourself protected when you're there. Vampires and werewolves have dangerous instincts, and one wrong move will reveal your secret." Warn her mother, because she is well aware of the situation. To keep their secret, her grandfather separated them from their clan and the outside world. Her mother and grandfather were the only ones in the house at the time, but when she came, a few servants were added. She grumbles, "Can't you just persuade the school not to let me come?" It's not so much that she fears her secret being revealed as it is that her vampire side would suddenly become uncontrollable. She felt she had complete control over her appetite for blood after all those years of solitude, but when she entered the academy, the thirst became overwhelming. She will simply vanish and hide in her room for the whole day. She is terrified not only of the thirst for blood but also of the full moon. But that isn't the most serious danger. Even a minor wound might make her feel out of control, particularly given the nation's blood-sucking race. "If that was so easy, it was your great uncle who asked for it; I've already written him a letter, but he said it would also be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities." You are strong if you are a Heartfield. She and her mother are the only members of her family who have never attended a family reunion, let alone a family sacred meeting.  "Wasn't it enough during my period at the academy?" she asked, her angelic face frowning. "It would be easy to deny if your great uncle was not a member of the thirteenth council, but we are up against a formidable foe. The only thing I can do now to keep you safe is cast a spell." She wanted to say something but her mother was right. When her grandfather was alive, he couldn't escape a similar occurrence. History has a tendency to repeat itself. She notices her daughter's disappointment. It's a long way away and risky for her, but she'll be safe as long as she casts a spell on her daughter. She cradles her daughter in her arms and rests her palms on her brow. Two golden rings encircle the light as her hands shine. Layla closes her eyes and feels the enchantment her mother has cast on her flow through her.   “lai daļa manas dvēseles būtu ar tevi. Ļaujiet manai dvēseles daļai jūs aizsargāt. Neviens ļaunums jums nekaitēs, jo mana dvēseles daļa jūs aizsargā”   Allow a piece of my soul to be with you. Allow a piece of my soul to guard you. No evil will come near you because a part of my soul guards you.   Elizabeth kissed her daughter on the head after the casting was completed. "If danger arises and your secret is revealed, the spell I cast will allow you to return to me, and we will then travel to a very far away place." Before leaving her alone, her mother said, "I'll ask Winston to carry down your luggage." The Miers un Harmonija Summit is a once-every-thirteen-year gathering of leaders from all over the continent. The previous meeting took place in Lunaria, a werewolf country, but this time it will take place in Asinis, a vampire nation.   Winter arrived in the Lo-re, a land of witches and warlocks in the content's northern reaches. Witches and warlocks inhabit the north, werewolves inhabit the east and vampires inhabit the south. The center part of the continent is called Silvekis, the only place where humans could live, and at the same time, other races could live without making bloodbaths.   However, there is one spot on the continent where neither race can go. The Deathly Hallows in the western part of the continent. That is where mixed-blood children throw away for good. Being pureblood is prized by all races, with the exception of half-blood humans, who have a chance to survive but have the same status as slaves. The room fell silent. The carriage will arrive in a few minutes to take them to the train station. Looking out the window, she wanted to laugh at the anxiety she was experiencing, but she also wanted to overcome it. Every day is a race between life and death for them. She was identical to her mother. She used to avoid others as a child in order to keep her secret hidden. Being a half-blood is bad enough, but she never imagined her mother falling in love with an unknown vampire.   “If I have a chance to know that guy, I would kill him, but I think it's much easier this way,” she curses the man who impregnated her mother and committed another crime. She wondered whether her vampire father is aware of her mother's secret or whether he is aware that he has a child.   “My lady, your professors are waiting”, said their house footman Winston. Long tied grey hair and grey eyes, one would think he just in his twenties but Winston is in his thirties, and despite the harsh winter outside the castle, his skin is tanned, in contrast to his owner, who has snow-white skin. Winston Craig is a half-human, half-werewolf who is saved from the auction house by Elizabeth's father and Layla's grandfather. Layla was only two months old when he was rescued, and the day he first met her, he dedicated himself to protecting her and Elizabeth, just as he promised to his late master.   “I’ll go with you then Winston”, Winston takes her two pieces of luggage in his hands. She follows Winston behind. On the wall are portraits of their forefathers and mothers. Layla couldn't help but note the castle's size, even though there were just six of them.   There are one hundred rooms but very few are occupied and just to keep their secret, they live in a very secluded and coldest part of Lo-re and by coldest part means that it’s always winter in Winter Field. Only a few people could enter their land. Her mothers family is one of the high ranking witch and warlock in the land but her mother seclude herself. There are a total of a hundred offices, but only a handful are occupied. They live in a very secluded and cold area of the Lo-re just to keep their secret. A spot where winter lasts forever. Only a few people were allowed to access their territory. Her mother's family is one of the land's most powerful witches and warlocks, but her mother and grandfather have kept to themselves.   Winston suggested, "Maybe I should ask Lady Elizabeth to accompany you?" Layla couldn't help but give Winston a small smile. "You know, I remember you saying that when I first entered the academy five years ago," she said, recalling the moment she begged her mother to let Winston accompany her. She wasn't the only one who was pleading at the time; Winston was as well.   Winston smiles as he remembers the past. He was worried about his master, but as time passed, he grew to admire Layla. Consider a kid with a dangerous secret who goes to a place where a single blunder could result in her death. "Your offer is enticing, but I can handle it, and besides, I'll be an adult in three months, so it'll be an interesting experience for me." He knows half of what she said was a lie, but he believes she will live in that place.   Layla notices Professor Heinley shaking in his black coat as she walks down the stare, which she assumes is due to the cold weather in Winter Field. The warming charm on his neck has been triggered, but the harsh weather on Winter Field is not typical.   “I’m very sorry for the waiting professor”, she said politely. Her mother was also there, seeing her off.   “It's fine; I'm just too early, but I wasn't expecting it to be this cold in here. The entire Lo-re is blanketed in snow, but Winter Field is much colder than I anticipated,” Professor Heinley said, his voice trembling. In his mouth, a cloud of snow emitted.   “I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Lord Heinley; I thought the Heating charm would shield you, but I suppose the winter in here isn't like any other. I made a mistake,” Elizabeth admitted.   “It's good, my lady; we were the ones who suggested picking up all of the students in the first place. So there's no fault, to begin with,” Lord Heinley explained, bowing respectfully.   Elizabeth does not have a role in the entire Lo-re, but her bloodline ensures that she does. Despite this, Elizabeth never acted superior to those under her.   “Well then, lord Heinley, she's good to go now, I entrust the protection of my daughter to you,” Layla's mother said to her professor as she placed her hands on her daughter's back.   “I assure you, that nothing would go wrong with your daughter and the other student, Lady Elizabeth,” he said, trying not to display how cold he was.   “I will hold on to that, now my dear Layla, remember what I told you and don’t hesitate to use your magic if one of those vampires or werewolves try to attack you”   “Mother there not that savages”, Layla said and gave a kiss on her mother's cheek.   “I’ll call you when we get there and Winston don’t forget to feed Gamora”   “Don't worry, my lady; I'll make sure she gets fed on time.”   She gave a final wave to her mother as she rode in the big carriage. Within the carriage, there are five of them. One of them is their professor, and the other four are in the same class. Her classmate's expression is that of disbelief. They are used to winter during the winter season, but they were not prepared for the winter in Winter Field. It's no surprise that it's called Winter Field; the heating charm has no impact on the harsh weather, and it's also their first visit to Winter Field.   “Now I know why they called you the Ice witch”, said the voice behind her while she takes her seat. It was Revlon McCrain, a fire-type warlock Red hair green eyes, and white skin.  He was tall for his age, in fact, he was the tallest in class, 6 feet. For a fire type wizard, he could easily warmed his self using his magic but the cold in their land is no ordinary cold. It would freeze their bloodstream on their veins for just a second if they don’t use magic. Luckily the carriage provides that magic.   “Thank goodness there's a heating magic stone in here; otherwise, we'd have died long before we got to the top,” he said.   "Welcome to Winter Field then," Layla said then leaned on the carriage's window. “How can you survive this type of cold?”, Ask the girl with brown hair and green eyes. It was Renma Garden, a wind-type witch.   “I grow in this place which is understandable why I can stand the death-killing cold of this place”, she answers.   Her response was, "I grew up in this town, so it's understandable why I can bear the death-defying cold of this place."   “Don't worry, we're almost outside,” her professor assured her. He took the seat in front of her. His long legs were crossed, and he was reading something on his hands that was most likely connected to the Summit.   He is in his forties, but his beauty is a work of art. He has long brown hair and green eyes.   “Why should we be a part of the Summit professor, can't you just invite the adults?” the girl with brown hair, tanned skin, and blue eyes inquired. Melanie Nunez, an earth witch.   “First and foremost, you are only there for one month as a student. It would be a significant step for each generation of young people to come together in order to strengthen their bonds,” their professor said.   “So far as I recall, vampires and werewolves don't get along, and as far as I can tell, we're just a referee on both sides,” Revlon explained, which makes sense.   “We may be neutral, but we all live under the same sky; there will come a time when we must all unite, and this is the first step.”   "By all species, you mean even those of mixed blood?" Layla blurted out without thinking about what she just said.   “Mixed blood has no understanding capabilities; the only thing they know is to kill because the blood that runs through their veins battles for the dominants, affecting not only their physical but also their mentality.”   ‘How about my mum, and how about me?'   She considered saying it, then decided against it.   Then Renma inquires, "How come half-humans are tolerated, professor?"   “Humans are ordinary beings, but there is a 1% chance that seers will be born among them,” says Lord Heinley. Only human beings may give birth to seers. The odds, however, are slim. It would be extremely unlikely to come across one. "I heard there's an army of mixed blood gathering at the Death Hollows, is that real professor?" Melanie ask. “As I said before, they don't have the ability to think; all you've heard is just rumors.” Then Layla wonders, "But what if, just what if it's real professor?" “Then we kill them, as everyone should,” her professor responds, causing some anxiety in her mind. Is it really necessary for them to go that far? They'd already abandoned the children in the desolate country, so now they're killing them because they're stupid? "Hey, I can finally see the exit barrier!" Revlon shouted. "Finally a little cold left," Renma said excitedly   Heinley notices Layla is about to say something, but she instead shifts her gaze to the outside of the carriage window. Maybe he'll ask her on the train later. It seems that the issue of mixed blood had an unintended effect on her. He adjusts his glasses and resumes his reading.
