Calum's P.O.V.
She smiled and hugged me. I hugged her back, burying my face in her hair. And that's all I wanna do - to make her happy - to see her smile.
"This is huge," she beamed, pulling away.
I smirked, "it's nothing."
Yeah, really, it's nothing, I'll put you on top of the world and this is just the beginning, I thought.
"Oh please," she said, as she led the way. We sat down at the blanket that was set. Oh, it's the boys who prepared everything here tonight. I'm thankful I have them in my life - even that penguin who said no to this. Luke's gotta be Luke.
I can't take my eyes off her. She's as perfect as the night sky that surrounds us. She was gazing at the stars, admiring it.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" She started. Her voice was all dreamy.
And, there, I think I just lost it. "Yeah, you are."
She looked at me, raising her eyebrow, laughing. She has turned slightly red. "Pardon? Why do you always do that?"
"What?" I laughed, as she crossed her legs and faced me. I did the same and faced her, reaching for the food basket.
"That," she replied, as I handed her a bag of chips. She held it close to her nose and sniffed it before eating, making me chuckle. She looked at me, embarrassed. "I like smelling the food before stuffing it in my mouth."
I chuckled, "you're cute. I guess that's the first thing I saw in you. You were bored back there, in the coffee shop, aren't you?"
"Yeah, Riley was late, as in way too late," she was munching, as I handed her a bottle of orange juice. "I tried guessing once personality thru what he drinks. You know, that's what they said."
"And guessed any?" I asked, smiling, sipping.
"Well, no," she pouted. "Until you came and you got me guessing you're some mysterious freak wearing that hood in a sunny day."
We laughed. The breeze was getting a little colder now. I took off my jacket and placed it over her as she looked at me and smiled. "I was afraid to get caught by a crowd, so, I had to disguise myself."
"That explains," she giggled, gazing back at the sky. "But you got caught by Riley."
"She's pretty fun," I said. "And I was surprised you didn't knew me."
"I'm not a TV or radio person. Though I've heard of you from her, I was a little too busy doing my stuffs to remember."
She continually gaze at the sky while I just looked at her, tracing her every outline - cherishing the moment. This is too good to be true, and, I know very well, that if nothing works out tonight, I won't be seeing her again.
"And, I guess," she started after a minute or couple. "That's the best thing I've done so far. To look at you not because you are the Calum Hood that everyone knows and to get to know you beyond that."
Did she? Really? I thought.
I don't want this night to end.
I reached for her hand, twining it to mine. I felt her fingers willingly twinned back. I followed her gaze, looking at the sky. "I looked at you and everything stopped, completely forgetting about the clock that's ticking. Then I knew you were something different - someone I knew I had to know. I can't get you off my mind. If it wasn't for Ashton, I would have forever regret not going after you, Leigh. I know this is fast but I need you with me. I'd be lost without you.
"But in two days you're leaving," she muttered. "Then I'll be just another girl in your list."
"Hey," I said, cupping her cheek with my other hand, as her gaze fell unto mine, locking eyes with me.
"You're not just another girl and I won't let you be that girl. Not on my list. Not on anyone."
"You're leaving," she repeated, pointing it out.
And, out of nowhere, knowing its crazy and I would have to ask the management, I said it. "Then come with me."
"You're touring," she pulled away. "I'm going to college."
"Then wait for me. 'Cause I'm so putting you on my priority, just say yes; will you be my girlfriend?"
