Michelle POV
The rest of the day, I stayed with Mr. Kronos's side, going over the employees of the Security Operations Center first, sInce its nearly 300 employees in this department. I gave him feedback on the notes I wrote for each employee of that department. One by one, I had gone down to the Security Operations Center floor to retrieve the employees for their evaluations.
It was impossible to do all 294 employees in one day. By lunchtime, Mr. Kronos had evaluated only 15 people. Each person is afraid to step into Mr. Kronos office. Lucky the first 15 employees had a great working ethic, and Mr. Kronos just told them to keep up the great work and gave them the new rules.
As he spoke about the new rules of the company, I had written them down to type them up later. I know I'm gonna have to make copies of the new rules and hand them out to each employee in person and also through email.
Rule number one: No tardiness or absence will be tolerated. The first time an employee is tardy by no more than 15 minutes, they will get a warning. The second time, they will be sent back home for the day without pay. The third time is termination. Next, employees who are absent without a 24-hour notice or a doctor's note will automatically be terminated. If the absent employee gives notice or a doctor's note, no action will be taken.
Rule number 2 is the dress code. The women employees who wear a skirt or dress, the length must be below the knees. Blouses must be worn properly so as not to show any cleavage. The male employees must wear fitted attire. For example, suits, slacks, and a polo shirt. Jeans, sneakers, open-toe shoes, and hats of any kind are prohibited for all employees
That went one for 12 more rules, which I happily agreed with a lot of them. It was about time that this company got it right and dealt with the last employees. So far, Mr. Kronos is doing a great job. Mr. Roger was a great boss; however, he was too nice. Mr. Roger needed to be stricter with his policies. This change is great for this company.
I definitely was glad it was finally ally time to head to lunch, I needed the break. Once the 15th employee left Mr. Kronos's office, I asked him and the guy named Lucas what they wanted for lunch.
Mr. Kronos sime just said surprise him. Since lunch is on the company's expense, I didn't have to worry about paying for anything out of my own pocket. I decided to get multiple things. There were several restaurants and diners about the area that is walking distance.
I selected a 2 fresh Cesar salad from the Salad Bowl shop, A medium size sushi platter filled with shrimp tempura, California rolls, volcano rolls, and spicy tuna from the QQ Asian restaurant. Lastly, I got 2 honey turkey and cheese hoagies with everything on them. Afterwards, I headed back to Mr. Kronos office with several bags in my hands. Once I knocked do. His office door, Lucas opened it and helped me with the bags by placing them all on the coffee table. "Well, Ms. Sanders, I got a lot of things. Are you trying to suck up to me? Mr. Kronos questioned. "No, sir, that isn't in my nature to do. I'm only here to assist to make things easier for you," I replied.
Lucas began to take all the food out of the bags. "Mr. Sanders, you are amazing. I have been craving sushi since yesterday," he stated. Mr. Kronos then reached toward the coffee table for one of the hoagies. "Enjoy both of your lunches," I said as I began to head to the door. "Ms. Sanders, please sit with us for lunch," Lucas offered.
I took a seat on the couch across from Mr. Kronos and Lucas. I reached for the Caesar salad to eat. "So, Ms. Sanders, tell us about yourself. Tell us, Way is a rogue working amongst humans, and have you found your mate yet?" Lucas said.
Those were very personal questions that weren't fitting for work. It was unprofessional for him to ask me that and uncomfortable. Ms. Sanders, you don't have to answer his questions. That was very rude of him to do so," Mr. Kronos explained. "I wasn't going to answer his personal questions since they were unprofessional to ask," I explained.
Lunch quickly ended, and we were back to evaluations. Mr. Kronos was able to evaluate 26 more employees by the time 5pm rolled around. I had headed to my office afterward to type the new rules, which took me some time to do, as I had to create a rule book for the employees to hand out and also email all the employees.
I was finished typing the rules. I will just print them out tomorrow and make them into a booklet. Next, I just need to copy and paste the rules to email the employees. As I was doing so, there was a light knock at my office door. "Come in," I replied.
Mr. Kronos steps into my office, and his scent of sandalwood envelops me. "It's getting pretty late. Would you like a ride home, Ms. Sanders? He asked. I then notice the time on my laptop. It was a little after 9:32pm. I couldn't believe it had gotten so late.
"Wow, I didn't realize the time. Let me just finish wrapping this up. " I'm just emailing all employees the new rules and regulations," I said. "It's not need to rush," Mr. Kronos said as he stepped further into my office to place his suitcase on the couch.
Moments later, I was finished. I stretched out my limbs to loosen my aching muscles. "I'm ready, Mr. Kronos," I stated. He went to grab his suitcase as I shut down my laptop and placed it in my bag with another workout I had.
I normally would get to work but cab, but I couldn't turn down Mr. Kronos' offer to take me home. He was being nice and very generous. Mr. led me to the elevator to the parking garage on the lower level until we reached his vehicle. It was a simple but nice expensive car.
Mr. Kronos then opened the passenger side door for me. Once we were both comfortable inside his car, he looked over at me intensely. I couldn't help but notice his forest green eyes as he was so close to me, and the slight scar on his left eyebrow. "What is your address, Ms. Sanders? He asked me. His question got me out of a trans that his eyes trapped me in.
I gave him my address, and the entire ride was silent. Hack, I didn't know what to say to him, and now and then I caught him stealing glances at me. We finally arrived at my apartment building, but before I could get out of his car, he finally spoke up. "I appreciate your hard work today, Ms. Sanders. I hope I didn't work you too hard," he sincerely said.
"Hard work comes with this position, and I love to show my best every day, regardless of what the tasks are. Good night, Mr. Kronos," I replied. Mr. Kronos didn't drive off until I was safely inside my building's lobby. I was so ready to shower and sleep to get ready for any busy day tomorrow.
"Today was so boring beside our new boss," Kira, my wolf, said. "Work isn't always fun," I said. "I'm looking forward to seeing our Alpha boss again. He can make a great mate for us," she purred. "That can't happen, you horny wolf. Mr. Kronos is our boss, and that's it," I stated.
I block Kira off to get myself ready for bed. There was no way I could ever push myself on my boss, even if he is a powerful Alpha and a great businessman. Besides, he would never be interested in me anyway, would he?
