Introduction
Michelle POV Hello, my name is Michelle Sanders, and I am employed at a security technology company located in a bustling metropolis. From a young age, my father instilled in me the fundamental importance of safeguarding myself and those I cherish, emphasizing that personal protection is the most vital aspect of life. My father, Eric Sanders, was a Beta at our old pack, called the Night Shade Pack. However, when I was only 5 years old, my pack was attacked by my horrible rogues. The leader of the rogues killed our alpha. My mother, father, and I managed to get away unharmed to move into the human city. We have been living amongst the humans for over 20 years now. I have become accustomed to the human life, living a peaceful life outside the crazy werewolf life my mother and father taught me about. After the attack on our old pack, when I was old enough to understand, my father taught me self-defense and to never be scared of anyone. He said the blood that runs through my veins in the blood is generations of Betas. I should never coward away; I should always stand tall and be brave. I should never back down from a challenge or let anyone intimidate me. I would say that I definitely learned a lot from my father. Because of his teachings, I figured I would go into security. However, as I grew up, I discovered I love dealing with computers. So why not go into cybersecurity? Less dangerous but more challenging and exciting. With my father's teaching, I am ready for anything. Lacking charm and great looks, a lot of people have underestimated me over the years, but some of them soon found out how vicious I could be. In high school, bullies, like the popular girl, would try to intimidate me or humiliate me. because they were jealous of my looks. However, I did put them in their place in front of the entire school so no one else would dare to bully me again. Something happened during my time in college. I still can't quite understand why people tend to bother me, especially since I am usually the quiet one. My mother often said that women might either envy me or dislike me because of my beauty. However, I don't see that as my problem or something I can control; it's simply a result of being born with good looks and an intelligent mind. I was incredibly fortunate to secure a position as a personal assistant to the CEO, a role that I consider a significant achievement. Despite this success, my true passion has always been in cybersecurity—specifically, working as a penetration tester for legal hacking exercises or as a cybersecurity engineer. Unfortunately, the industry I aimed to enter is predominantly male-dominated, and I faced resistance because of that. Many men in the field dismissed my capabilities, doubting my intelligence and suitability for such technical roles, simply because I am a woman. This skepticism persisted despite my resume clearly outlining my skills, qualifications, and accomplishments that demonstrate my competence and readiness for such positions. The only reason my job felt meaningful was due to the CEO, Mr. Roger. I have served as his personal assistant for nearly two years. Though he's an elderly man, his wisdom is remarkable. I was deeply shocked when Mr. Roger announced that he would be stepping down from his role as CEO and revealed that the company had been acquired by an outside party. I knew Mr. Rogers' health was declining, but I didn't know it was to the point he had to step down as owner. Regardless, I wonder how the new CEO is gonna be. Maybe this could be my opportunity to get the job I want.
