Two pair of wide eyes looked up at me.
“Okay" he said sounding like he was thinking. “Lets go back a little bit, yesterday at the office,he said he was in love with you too"
“He's not being serious guys,that's obviously some lines he uses that works on other women but it won't work on me"
Bruce nodded “And rewind to some nights when you met and.."
Eddy slapped Bruce hand on the table and looked at me.
“Stop rewinding, I'm still at the part when he was up a ladder,half naked and you walk in, can we please go back to that part?" He said emphasizing on the please.

“Pervert I don't care...so he was up a ladder with a drill....and..."
I nodded at Eddy-we've already been over this.
“Waittt...was he holding the drill or he had like a tool belt on his waist strapped to his sweaty body?"
Bruce and I burst out laughing

“In your dreams he had a tool belt" he said after slapping his partner on the arm.

I said wide eyed “A Pervy s*x God is living next door only inches from where I sleep, he's playing mind tricks on me and I don't like it and he even asked me out on a date"
“And he does room renovations in his underwear" Eddy added “An important fact when considering things"
“What things?" I asked.
“Going out with him obviously"
“Ohh no, I'm not going out with him and he's not serious about it, he is just trying to play mind tricks on me and it's not gonna work" I said unsure.
“I'm sure that maybe he has probably asked all the girls in the office out and he has told them the same"
A knock on the door interrupted us and we all turned.
“It couldn't be?"Eddy whispered.
“Please don't let it be please don't" I whispered. You could almost hear the horror movie sound track in the background.
“Hello? Emmy?"
His voice confirmed my nightmare.
Before I could stop him, Eddy was already half way across the room.
“I'm not here, I'm not here!" I whispered.
“Its six in the morning,where else would you be?"Bruce asked getting up.
“Jogging" I said going to hide behind one of the pillars in the balcony.
“You don't jog"
“I do now" I said walking towards the door.
“Ohh Hello neighbor" Eddy said in all his glory. I could picture it, Eddy was probably drooling and Bruce was probably not far behind.
“Hi, I'm Audrey, I just moved in last night"
“Ohh we know who you are sweetie" Eddy said and I almost died.
“Yeah I guess you do by now"
“So what brings you to our humble abode aside our beautiful little Emmy"-at that point,I wanted to strangle my self to death.
Audrey Chuckled slightly “I came to apologise,I hope I didn't wake you up with the noise"
“Nooo, noooo, not at all" The chorus of Eddy and Bruce rang out.
“Good, I would hate to make a bad impression of myself on my first night"
“Not at all"I heard Eddy say in a loaded tone.
“Is Emmy here?" I heard him say,me? why was he looking for me?
“She went out jogging"I heard Bruce say flatly,he was a terrible liar.
“Really?"Audrey said sounding unconvinced.
“Ohh she's a HUGE jogger,LOVES IT,she literally LIVES for it" oh God,he was hamming it up now “our Emmy,very fit and athletic,our little jogger"
I heard a little chuckle from Audrey as if the perv was thinking about my athleticism.
“What time does she leave to jog?"
“Five" “Four" I hear Eddy and Bruce say in unison.They had just destroyed the lie.
“Mhhhhhmm ...usually five-ishh uh Eddy?"I heard Bruce ask Eddy trying to stabilize the lie but it was already too late
“Good to know,nice meeting you guys"
I heard the door closing until Eddy pushed it further
“So what do you want with our Sera this morning?"He asked
“I came to see if she wanted to drive to work together"
I heard the door close finally and came out to see a wide eyed Eddy and Bruce
“Ohhh he's so gorgeous"
“Gosh,those tattoos...and hair cut"
“WOW" Eddy and Bruce said in unison
Eddy sat down and fanned himself dramatically “And he wanted to drive you to work"
“I have no idea,why?" I was genuinely puzzled.
“Its because you're a hottie" Bruce said putting his arm around me.
“I'm not his type though" and I meant it, I wasn't a cool hot and sexy chick, I was just me
“I don't know" Eddy said “He looked genuinely disappointed when we said you were not here"
“I'm sure that's how he gets disappointed when one of the girls he plays mind tricks on comes to her senses and rejects him"
“Why do you keep comparing yourself with other girls Emmy? You are beautiful. In here and in here" Eddy said pointing to my chest and head" I laughed so hard.
“Is this some kind of confidence booster guys?"
“No Emmy , it's facts you need to Know so you'd consider going out with him" Eddy said as he came up to me and held my shoulders.
