WHEN WE GOT back to the cabin, there was a fuel truck at the back refilling the tank.
“Good thing I gave those guys the code to the gate,” George said.
“Yeah,” Mike said.
We got out of Mike’s car, and I made an excuse to go outside instead of into the house. I motioned for Sean to go with me, and Paul followed. I retrieved a credit card from my wallet, handed it to Sean, and said, “Go see if that driver can handle plastic. If he can’t, Randy and I probably have enough cash on us to take care of the bill.”
“Yes, Sir,” he said. He and Paul went to the back of the cabin to look for the driver, and I went upstairs to the kitchen.
“Where are the boys?” George said.
“Paying for the fuel.”
