Chapter 34Flanked by three uniformed officers, Lumbergh and Holman ran back to the hangar, Lumbergh without his shoes. “Freeze!” one of the officers yelled, gun drawn as a bloodied figure darted out through the garage. “Wait!” shouted the man in scrubs, dropping to his knees. “Don’t shoot!” His hands were high in the air. “He’s okay!” shouted Holman. “He was the hostage.” “You’ve got to stop your friend before he kills him!” said the man, eyes desperate.
