James pov

for three days i stayed by my mates side hoping that she would wake up, i was really worried about her, she would moan off and on like she was dreaming or in pain, the nurse would come in here off and on to check the ivs, and the other drip once the drip was done, she took it down and told me that it was done, i knew what she meant by that, i will have to tell her once she is fully awake, the only time i left is when i went to talk to the alpha or i showered and ate something, than hurried back, i didn't want to be gone if she woke up, i didn't want her to feel alone, they still dont have a clue where Amber was, i knew he was worrying about her, i knew this will make them both weak but this isn't going to stop him from looking for her, I was back in her room, when i heard her groan again, then i saw her eyes blink, i called for the doctor and nurse than i turned the lights down just a little bit, then she opened her eyes, i hurried over there to help her sit up but she jerked away from me, like she was scared of me,

Shh, its okay honey, your safe with me, i promise, its James baby, your mate, i promise you nothing is ever going to hurt you again,” i was trying to comfort her as best as i could until the doctor and nurse got here, once here the doctor told her the nurse was here to keep her comfortable while he took her viles, once done, he told her she could go home, but to be careful, we walked out the door so the nurse could help her get dressed, i overed heard her telling Karen that it happened to her many years ago, that she now has a mate and children, it took awhile but it happened, once she was ready, i helped her to the car than we headed home, once home, all i wanted was to show her around the house, but i knew it would be hard for her to walk, so we slowly walked upstairs to our bedroom, i bought a couch so i could sleep on until she got comfortable with me,

‘Are you hungry, im a good cook, so i could fix you something if you're hungry,” she surprised me when she looked at me smiling, then said,

Will you lay beside me, i don't want to be left alone,” so i got into bed behind her, i didn't know what to do when i got into bed, i didn't want to scare her, so i waited for her to say something, but when i waited i heard her light breathing, she had fallen a sleep, i wanted to get up, but i wanted to make sure she was in a deep sleep before i got out of the bed, it took a bit, but once i was up i walked downstairs, i mindlinked Ace,

‘Shes home with me laying in bed, im going to fix her something to eat so when she wakes up she can eat something, if you want to come over, be here in a few minutes, i don't think shes going to sleep long, im going to try and get her downstairs,” it didn't take long, for him to reply back to me,

‘Ill be there shortly. I'm bringing Lura with me so she won't be scared.” i told him it was a good idea, we need females around her, i made breakfast for dinner, i made breakfast tacks with soft shell so she would be able to eat, i put eggs, bacon, a little tomato inside of it with sourcream on the side and salsa on the side, i heard footsteps like she was trying to walk around, so i hurried upstairs just intime for her to almost fall, i caught her,

‘Its okay, I got you. What are you trying to do?” she looked embarrassed, as she looked up at me, then she said,

‘I was trying to find where you were, I smelled the food, so I was trying to come downstairs to find you.” i chuckled as i took her hand in mine, then led her carefully down the stairs, toward the dining room, pulling out a chair she carefully sat down,

“Alpha Ace is bringing his cousin Lura over in a few minutes, he doesnt want you scared, when he arrives so we think a female should be with us at all times so you won;t have to be worried,” she nodded as she looked at the tacos,

“Are these breafast tocos, i see the egg in them. They look really good?”

‘Yeah they are, i made eggs, bacon and put some tomatoes in there, i have sourcream and salsa on the side, but i think with the sticthes, i would stay away from the salsa, it might sting or something,” she agreed, she picked the first one up, put a little sourcream on it, than began to eat slowly, we heard a knock on the door than Ace walked in with Lura, she walked over and hugged Karen than set beside her, she grabbed one of the tacos then began to eat it, Ace sat on the other side of the table while i sat beside my mate, He didn't waste any time to start asking questions,

‘Karen, i know you just woke up and tried to get your head right, but can you tell me anything that happened that night? Where did they come from? what did they say, anything would be good, its okay, you can take your time on telling me, i was just hoping you can help to see if we can find her,” She swallowed her food then began to talk,

“I remember everything Alpha Ace, we walked up to the room she had made for me, she showed me the bedroom than the bathroom, we walked over to the closest, and i remember having a bad feeling about it, like i wanted to stop her and just head back downstairs to the office, Before i could stop her, she opened the doors, and they were there dozens of them, they were rogues, and the main one said

I f*****g finally found you b***h, i paid good money for you, grab her now and grab the other,” two for the price of one, i didn't know what that meant, but we started fighting them off, she did a real good number on the leader, she screatched his face up really good, and i kicked a few i think i killed one of them did you find a body? thats when i was shot and one of them asked the leader if they could have their fun, i tried to fight them off of me, but they shot me and kept stabbing me, once they were done they kicked me serval more times than stabbed me i don;t know how many times they did that, but i was trying to stay awake until someone found me, so i could tell them were they came out at, but i blacked out, im sorry, Alpha Ace, im truly sorry,” my mate started crying Lura nodded at me as she held onto her to let her cry on her shoulder.
