Chapter 25 Another big rock bashed the side of the canoe as it slid mercilessly downstream. Nayn winced, throwing a concerned glance at Annie, who ignored him. The angry river was shouting at her to remember all she had lost here. If Nayn hadn’t forced her to keep moving she never would have made it past the threshold of the tunnel into the stark winter landscape.
