Living The Past

Chapter 4 - Thinking of the Future.

A week has gone by and my Luna training had been going well. I had been trying to settle into married life, thankfully training had taken a lot of my time. Charles and I had always missed each other and one of us were already asleep before the other arrived. Today Luna Hera was giving us the day off since I was progressing very well. I sat in our room reading a book and sipping my tea. Charles walked in and sat down. Miranda ran over and poured him a cup of tea as he sat in the chair across from mine.

“How is your training coming?” He asked.

“It’s going very well, Luna Hera gave us the day off.” I sat my book down.

“I thought so!” He said with a smile. “Father wants to do the transition ceremony next week. He’s having preparations put together.” I didn’t know what to say. It felt like it was too soon. “How are you feeling?” He asked after seeing my shocked expression.

“I’m just surprised is all.” I said grabbing my tea and taking a sip.

“This will be good. We’ll have each other.” He reached over and grabbed my hand and I nodded giving him a weak smile. He turn to Miranda.

“Leave, I wish to be alone with my wife.” I watched her scurry out. I took a deep breath thinking we were going to preform our marital duties again. “Julia, once we take over, we can rule this place together. With your power and my knowledge, Redmoon can become the most powerful pack in the Pacific Northwest.” I didn’t want to seem confused but I was.

“Do you mean…” I started my questions.

“Yes. I mean there may be war, and there may be death. You can lead the front lines with me. We can concur the world. We may be powerful enough to over throw the Alpha King.” I stood up. His words scared me. I walked over toward the bed. Charles followed. “Julia, your power is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe it all belongs to me.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Charles came over and put his hand on my shoulder.

“Does everyone know this is why you chose me as your wife?” I turn to him and he smiled.

“My parents know, but you’re also very beautiful and smart. Good qualities for a Luna.” I was essentially purchased to be a weapon. “Julia our children will be so powerful. The world won’t know what hit them. Can’t you feel how empowering it will be?” I looked at him.

“Charles I don’t want to be a weapon. I don’t want people to fear me. I only ever wanted to fit in.” He laughed and took my hand.

“You have the most amazing gift I’ve ever seen. I’m the strongest fire user in the pack. We’ll be unstoppable.” He pulled me into him kissing me passionately. I pushed him away to catch my breath. “What’s wrong?” He said.

“I’m just still processing everything.” He turn me around and started undoing my dress. I guess my time to process was over. “Now?” I asked.

“Yes now, I’ve never been more turned on in my life.” Charles said eagerly pulling my dress off. He pushed me over the bed and lightly kicked my legs open. I heard him fumbling with his belt. I took a deep breath and gripped the blanket. He slowly entered me and I felt his hands on my back. Atleast it didn’t hurt this time. He gripped my hips and held me there as he gave me a hard thrust. I moaned which seemed to encourage him and he started thrusting faster. It was actually starting to feel good and I started moaning with each thrust.

“You like this don’t you?” Charles said without skipping a beat. I nodded and held on. Charles gave me two hard pumps as I heard him moan. Just as fast as he started, he was done. He pat my back as I straighten up. He straightened up his pants. I grabbed my dress and started trying to get it back on. I heard the door open and looked to see him walking out. Miranda came in and ran over.

“Let me help you miss.” She said as she helped me tie everything.

“This is embarrassing, I apologize.” I said to her and she laughed.

“Not at all, I still helped Luna Hera back into her dresses before you came. Now I’ll help you.” I turned and Miranda gave me a smile. “More tea?” I shook my head. “Dinner is soon. Did you want to freshen up?” I nodded and she came with me to the bathroom.

At dinner Charles held my hand and we all made idle chit chat. After Charles took me out to the garden.

“Sorry if I scared you earlier.” He said holding my arm.

“No, it was all just a shock. I understand.” I should’ve known this was why they wanted me.

“Good, I’m glad we’re on the same page.” He led me to a small bench. We sat and looked at the emerging stars. He took my hand and kissed me. “There’s one more thing I wanted to talk about.”

“What is it?” I asked.

“Father wants us to start recruiting a larger army. Making Alliances with neighboring packs. There’s a pack, Greymoon, they’ve been requesting a audience for awhile. Their pack is very large and they’re skilled in fighting. No magical powers. What are your thoughts?” Charles looked at me.

“Well if we’re going to do what you say, it might be good to reach out to them. Expand our troops.” He smiled wide at my answer.

“I’m glad we’re in this together. Our partnership will be in our history books.” We looked back at the stars. I tried not to think about our future.
