Her Hidden Powers

The Night before

I was laying on my bed in my bedroom watching a movie on my computer and relaxing when my brother Mani knocks on the door so I got up to unlock and open the door as he is standing there with his hand up about to knock again.

Mani; umm you going somewhere 

Sky: Ummm no I was answering the door for you what's up

Mani: OoooK well I'm not sure how you're answering the door for me when I was just about to knock but mom wants you 

Sky; Seriously Mani you just knocked on the door why are you screwing with me, you know what neverminded I'll go see what mom wants

I walked past Mani shutting the door behind me and head down the hall towards mom's bedroom as Mani calls out she isn't in her room I stop and turn around to look at him, umm kitchen?  NO! she's in her office I take a big gulp and turn to head towards her office as I'm heading down the stairs to her office Willow runs past with  Týr, ohh wha'd you do you should have known mom would find out she always finds out you're in trouble.

 mom only ever calls us in her office when she needs to have a serious private conversation, as I walk up to her office I try and figure out exactly what I did I went through the whole day and couldn't figure anything that I could have done. As I reach her door I hear her call through the door "COME IN SKY" 

I walked into her office and asked how she knew I was there all she said was the same way you knew you're brother was at the door, again with her cryptic s**t so annoying.

Mom; Have a seat we need to talk

Sky: umm Okay did I do something 

Mom: mmmm No or at least not yet 

 Sky; WHAT MOM IF I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING YET YOU CANT GET ON ME ABOUT SOMETHING YOU THINK I MAY DO 

mom; SIT DOWN, 

my mother's eyes went from brown to black I had noticed it through the years but right now it really came through, I swear when her eyes turn like that she looks almost evil.

Sky: umm sorry ma what's going on 

she sat there closing her eyes for a moment before she breathed out to continue

Mom; Sky tomorrow is your 17th birthday and you're going to notice a lot of changes in fact you probably already have I can't explain it to you and you have to discover most on your own but know that for what I can be there for I will be there for 

Sky; UGH you're being so wired again, what are you even talking about I might notice changes like what exactly can you be more cryptic why can't you ever just come right out and say it

I said this then my mom shakes her head looks down and looks back up at me she looks right into my eyes her eyes shining grey I've always envied my moms eyes, and she says Sky our family is very special you must understand this it'll be hard but you must get thru it on your own 

I hear her say this and it dawns on me that her mouth didn't move once, I just sit there and stare at her, and then I hear her say, I would not be surprised if you don't sleep well tonight, I am not supposed to tell you this but you are my daughter, so I will tell you this much do not eat or drink anything you are offered oh and make sure you keep your head and don't get too scared it can get scary but it's necessary also try not to offend, now you may go I'm going to start dinner soon, again she says all of this without moving her mouth once I was officially freaked out so I got up and quietly walked back to my room.

When I got back to my room my brother's and sister's were all huddled on my bed waiting to hear what I had done, Mani was the first to talk when I walked in.

Mani; Soooo wha'd ya do sis 

Sky; Nothing just more of mom's cryptic s**t again I don't wanna talk about it

Willow; ohh that bad huh come on mom only brings us in her office when she doesn't want anyone else to hear what you did because its nobody else business

Rain: Sky can you play with me 

Sky; not right now Rain I have a lot on my mind, and why are you all in my room 

All; fine whatever don't tell us were leaving 

the rest of the night went fine we ate dinner and washed up after I finished the homework I had then I helped my baby sister Rain with her kindergarten homework and we all went to bed
