Burdens and birthdays

Ky ky ky Sky huh oh sorry mom I must have fallen asleep what's up is she awake yet, no honey she's not, ugh well we better start this birthday dinner for Mani I'm not going to have him miss out because she's taking forever to awaken,  she'll be fine Sky let's go make this dinner and the council will probably be here soon so we better make extra,  okay mom let's go

I made dinner with my mom and explained that Libby wasn't feeling well so we would celebrate her birthday later

Hmm hey sis how old is she today,  oh Libby she's turning 17, hey didn't you get all sick on your 17th birthday to I got it I've figured it out it's our curse we must get it from dad since Libby isn't moms kid, wait huh what, what curse, apparently we're cursed to get sick on our 17th birthday hahaha, oh yeah haha, oh come on that was funny,  umm yeah sorry Manns, it's cool come on let's eat, this looks good 

There was a knock on the door  Týr and Willow jumped up to make a run for the door so they could be the first to greet the extended family whom we had just met on my 17th birthday 

Man yall have a thing for 17 huh hahaha common mom and Sky said you'd probably be here, how is Libby doing,  she's okay she's just a bit sick according to Sky 

They all walked into the kitchen and wished Mani a happy birthday and said they couldn't wait to see him at his next birthday, we all finished eating cut the cake and gave Mani his gifts then the younger kids ran for the game room with Mani yelling behind them it's my birthday so I get dibs on the game station,  while me my mom and the council checked on Libby who was sweating up a storm but still in the Astro plane, before we headed to my office,  after about 3 hours with what looked like little to no progress we concluded that she was a baby, which meant she wasn't just Going through the Awakening she was receiving her first powers which meant someone would have to guide her and teach her to use said powers,  

And guess who that someone gets to be, yup yours truly 

Oh come on my daughter has already done more than enough it is time for her to come home, do you think when she is done here she is coming home we have her stationed here not just because of Libby there are other reasons,  and what would those reasons be, mom it's fine they refused to put her in the school,  YOU DID WHAT WHY THAT IS WHAT THE SCHOOL IS FOR, stop yelling at us she is better off this way, how is a young witch more qualified than a teacher,  a witch who has the experience of over a dozen lives is not what I would call young, 

My mother and the council sat and glared at each other before I was finally like okay yah know what we don't know anything yet let's be honest she's had a f****d up life what if she just lost herself and none of us has gone to the Astro plane to ask the guides yet how about this why don't we call it a night get some rest I will visit find out what's going on then I'll let you all know in the morning and we can discuss what to do after that 

Luckily everyone agreed and we all turned In for the night
