Clay entered the floor she is usually assigned to, and she cleans it spotless just like any other night. In a good mood, she hummed as she started to gather all her cleaning tools, and soon, her shift would end.
Though remembering something, she presses up in the elevator, into the floor where the CEO’s office resides. Hoping to see her supervisor for a moment, to ask for a night off next week- something that she rarely asks, but she wanted to enjoy her birthday, and go somewhere she really wanted to go to, even just for a day.
Nothing really felt wrong about the night. As she stepped out of the elevator, humming as her eyes were still glued to the floor, she would never have expected to see what was in front of her.
Janet was kneeling on the floor, her head down, moving as if licking what was spilled on the floor, which Clay presumed to be coffee. She could never have imagined her egotistic supervisor would be reduced to such lows.
Clay’s azure eyes move up to the man standing over her, wearing rolled white long-sleeves polo that was stained with coffee. Axel, the new CEO.
What the f**k?
