Five

After a few moments of making an annoyed Vee listen to her blabbers about the novel she was just reading, she is now walking to the main elevator, when Vee called out loud again, “Btw, I’ll meet you tomorrow!” “For?” Clay calls back just as loud. The good thing about night shifts is that there really aren't many people that would nag about the noise. Clay kind of gets what Vee is about to say. Every once in a while, Clay would accompany Vee shopping at the malls per her request. The prices are ridiculous in New York, Clay would always complain. Though at times, she buys herself things as well, sometimes clothes, but mostly art materials or books, which Vee would accompany her as well. “Accompany me shopping,” Vee smiles at her excitedly, before frowning just as fast, and pointing at her, “don’t you say no, I know your schedule. You’ve got no classes!” “Don’t you have other friends, Genevieve?” Clay teases, and the invitation was no bother really. Another thing she likes about her friend is that, no matter how she is, she is truly mindful and considerate. Vee wouldn’t invite her on days that she knew Clay was busy hustling. “No one like you,” Vee says, trying to sound sarcastic, but Clay knew better. Amused, she just laughs.
