His mind was elsewhere, though, consumed by the weight of his recent divorce and the suffocating atmosphere of his in-laws' constant disapproval. As he gazed out at the park, his peripheral vision caught sight of a figure walking towards him. The man's messy brown hair and bright blue eyes stood out against the tranquil backdrop of the park. He was carried by an air of quiet confidence, his stride purposeful as he approached the bench. Lucas, lost in thought, hadn't noticed the bench was occupied. His eyes widened as he took in the sight of Eden, who was now smiling at Sophie as she squealed with delight.
