Chapter Thirty-TwoAberdeen, August 2001 Harry Houston, Denny Boyd, and four of their fellow officers, all members of the Rapid Deployment Unit, left the lounge bar of the Caledonian Hotel on Union Terrace just after four p.m. The six officers had been celebrating the successful conclusion of one of their biggest cases for some time, and had left the office at police headquarters on Queen Street some two hours previously, ready to enjoy their off-duty time.
