Chapter SixAn hour later, Lucia felt as though her brain was swimming. It had been almost impossible for her to assimilate all the information that Dr. DeVries had attempted to impart to her. Bad enough that they were conversing in English, not the first language for either of them, although he was obviously fluent, but the use of so many technical and medical terms was for the most part nothing more than mumbo jumbo to her.
