CHAPTER 13 Jack was up early and watched the sun rise over Atlanta from his room on the sixty-fourth floor of the hotel. He wanted to get an early start at organizing his campaign strategy notes as the balance of his day was going to be consumed with hammering out an agreement with Consolidated Foods. After Jack finished outlining all of the logistical aspects of the campaign—from the announcement of Lindsay’s candidacy to the location of his election night victory celebration—he sat down to do the hard work of establishing the philosophical thrust of the campaign.
