“Now that we’ve taken care of Jack McKay, we need to press on with the campaign like it’s still a contested election,” Randall told William as he reveled in his plan.
“Well, we haven’t ‘taken care’ of him yet. No charges or public condemnation have surfaced at this point,” he reminded his father.
“Correct, which is why we must carry on with business as usual. Once the s**t hits the fan, we must be able to show righteous indignation while implicating Revelle with guilt by association. The voters will not tolerate any candidate who is tainted by such an inexcusable crime so close to the election.” Randall was relishing the double whammy his son’s election would be putting on Jack and the Opposition.
