CHAPTER 11
Peter loved arriving at the office early particularly when no one else had. He was always very focused on the job at hand and did his best work in solitude. Peter’s private line rang at 7:45 on Monday morning. “This is Peter Evans,” Peter said, picking up the receiver.
“Peter, this is Arlene Metcalf from Consolidated. How are you?”
“Very well thanks and you?” Peter hoped her early morning call meant he would be feeling even better.
“I’m fine and glad to find you in early. With the time difference, I wasn’t sure you would be there. Listen, Peter, I have a meeting in a half an hour, and I’d like to go over a few things with you first.”
“Fire away.” Peter couldn’t help but be encouraged.
