CHAPTER 32
After moving the rest of his things from his old house to Mickey’s, there wasn’t much else to do. Jack’s work life and time with Maya were gone, if only temporarily, so he spent some time fiddling with his motorcycle. But mostly he focused on his case.
Jack was really looking forward to his meeting today with Bobbie. They were going to meet for lunch at Busby’s in Lake Geneva. It was a cozy roadside diner just north of town on Highway 12 about halfway between Lakeville and Madison. A relatively quiet place just far enough away from the tourist haunts in town to afford them some privacy.
Jack decided to go by car this time and arrived first. He staked out a table in the corner and ordered coffee. Bobbie arrived a few minutes later with a briefcase and cell phone in tow.
