After a long day for each of them, Mickey, Bobbie, and Jack gathered around the dining room table to discuss trial strategy while they waited for Miles to arrive with the Chinese takeout from Wei Lu’s.
They had barely finished setting the table when Miles appeared carrying three large brown paper bags filled with Asian delights. They couldn’t wait to dig in.
Bobbie laughed. “I guess the six sets of chopsticks indicates Wei Lu’s assumed this was a meal for six.”
Miles defended himself. “It is a meal for six. So if two more people show up, we’re covered. Always good to be prepared.”
“Be prepared? Were you a Boy Scout?” Mickey asked Miles.
“No, but when you’re brought up in a Jewish home, you always have food for two more.”
