Chapter 2. Leo

Present day. Six years after college.

Donald's building business

Leo just arrived for the day. He was the CFO at Donald's Technology Solutions, and his notorious cousin was the CEO of the company. It was not a family business. Even though they came from money, they just decided to do something outside their family line business. Upon arriving and using their private elevator, his phone rang.Looking at it and seeing that it's his personal assistant calling, he got irritated, knowing exactly why she is calling him.

" Yeah, I'm at the elevator as we speak on my way to his office, I'm not even late. Is he cranky already? Leo said, brushing his hair with his fingers

" No, sir, he just asked me to find out your where abouts." Julia said

" Okay, let him know within 2min I will be with him," Leo said, already in the elevator heading to the top floor where their offices are situated

" Okay, sir," Julia said. Julia has been Leo's personal assistant for 3 years now. She called Tom assistant to let him know that Leo was on his way. Leo arrived at their floor but went to his office first to get some documents before heading to Tom's office.

" Morning Julia, do you have the Steven's file with you?" Leo asked

"Yes, sir." She handed the file to him. " The meeting is moved to his office," Julia said

" Thanks. let me go there before he calls you again, " Leo said, smiling

On the top floor there were only two offices for Tom and Leo at each corner of the floor, in between the offices there was two conference rooms, each conference room joined with their offices using a private door, the was restrooms also on the floor, and small kitchen. At each corner outside their offices there was a desk for their personal assistants, so only four people occupied the top floor. Passing Harry at his desk.

" He is expecting you," Harry said to Leo

" How are you doing, Harry?" greeted Leo

" I'm doing well, thanks, and you, sir?" Before Leo could answer Harry

"Harry, I'm still waiting for Leo," a very serious voice came through the intercom.

" aaaah, he is already cranky. Let me go in before you get into trouble," Leo said, holding the file in the air. He knocked once at Tom's office and didn't wait for a reply, opened the door. Tom office was a dignified one with a mahogany desk with leather seats, 2 in front of his desk and huge one behind his desk where is sitting now, there was a couch at the side, 4 chair conference table, joining private restroom.

Tom was busy on his laptop with a pen playing around his fingers.

" Glad you decided to join me," Tom said with his muscular voice and sounded serious

" You know some of us do have a life outside work, right?" Leo said, chuckling

" You mean owning two different houses," Tom said, frowning his eyes

" Well, at least I once walked down the aisle," Leo said, putting the file in his hands on the desk

" And what did that get you?" Tom said without even looking at him but at his laptop

Chuckling " Two beautiful babies" Said Leo while sitting down " when are you growing up and settle down, we both know the reason you have a male personal assistant it's because you can't keep it in your pants"

" Are we going to get down to business, or are you going to be my mother again?" Tom said, finally shutting his laptop but still playing with the pen in his fingers.

" If we can manage to make Steven's medical our clients, we will be able to reach our target financially, so is your IT tech department ready with the presentation? Leo asked

" Yeah, just had a meeting with them this morning while you were still in bed with your wife, oooh my bad ex wife oooh my bad you guys don't leave together anymore yet you still pay for her house" Tom said with a sarcastic tone

" You know one day you are going to meet a girl who will make you crawl on your knees " Leo said " besides aren't we in a meeting about IT tech guys" he said with a questionable look and throwing open hands in the air

" Did I just hit a nerve?" Tom said, touching his heart and smiling. " Besides, we both know no woman has ever made me crawl since we were young, and that won't change anytime soon."

" Oooh really," said Leo while taking his phone out. " Hey, remember Lisa?"

" Refresh my memory," Tom said

" College she and her friend came to lunch at our place in Dubai." Leo remembered the friend name clearly, and I just wanted to prove a point

Looking up in the ceiling and thinking, " oooh Maya" a smile came to Tom face

" Oooh s**t was that a smile?" Leo said, laughing

"No," Tom said, still looking at the ceiling and thinking, and Leo also went to his dream land.

***Flashback ****

I heard the doorbell excited to see what she would be wearing, what her hair would be like, anxious to see that smile on her face. Then I heard a knock on my door, knowing it's our Butler Alfred. I opened the door

" Sir miss Lisa and Maya are downstairs," said Alfred

" Thanks, Alfred. I will be down just now." Alfred turned to leave. " Oooh, Alfred is Tom around?"

" Yes, he asked me to inform him when lunch it's ready, sir," Alfred said

" Thanks, Alfred will be there just now,"

I haven't told Tom about me inviting Lisa who invited Maya for lunch, reason being I know how Tom is with the ladies, he already knows Lisa so I wasn't worried about her actually didn't even care if he made a move on Lisa. What I was worried about was Maya oooh Maya I knew Tom probably never croosed path with her and she was a beauty and I knew when he saw her there was no way he will just look the other way. So I didn't inform him, hoping he would bring some random girl to distract him. It was the weekend and normally my aunt and uncle 'Tom's parents ' went to our home country every weekend,so we normally had the house to ourselves on weekends well besides the house staff. I went downstairs, and there she was, Maya...

" Hey ladies," I greeted them

" Hey, love." That's what Lisa usually calls me, and it never bothered me, but wished just for today, can't she call me Leo.

" You must be the famous Maya," I said

" Yeah," she answered shyly, smiling

Just when I hoped for a few more minutes without him showing his face, he came downstairs bubbling about how hungry he was, then he stopped at his tracks when he saw we had company. Sadly, he didn't have company as usual.

" Bro, you didn't say we would have company, especially ugly here, Lisa," he said, rubbing Lisa hair

" Mmmmmh, and if I'm ugly, what will they call you?" said Lisa, laughing

I looked at Tom, then Lisa shook my head and looked at Maya just being quiet and looking at the whole scenario with a smile.

'Damn, she is beautiful. God, if you are going to bless me with a wife, please let it be her.' I was deep with my thoughts while seeing the beauty in front of me.
