Ax chuckled and glanced between David and Mora missing their action from earlier. “Hey David, how are things here?”
David wrapped the rope around him, “I’m good but what are you doing here? Do you need to see Teddy again?”
“No, I don’t, but I wanted to come by and talk to the both of you,” Ax said to both of them.
Mora and David do a double take. “The both of us?” David asked surprised.
“Yeah. The last few days there have been some murders around the docks and other places around the town. I’m asking everyone at this point.” Ax stepped in and sat down.
Mora put down the papers and looked directly at Ax. “My pardon…” She looked at motioning for him to continue.
David cleared his throat, “Mora, this is Lt. Higgins. He is a friend and works on local cases.”
