Chapter 24: The other?

1124 Words
I was confused in his words. Honestly, I don't have any idea why tomorrow is going to be a long day. Is it because he will going to take a drink of my blood again? That must be it. But that's impossible. We had an agreement! Lazarus said himself that an agreement that sealed with blood is sacred and must be followed. If a piece of paper is sealed with thumbmark print in blood–it is respected by anyone! That is what he said so I just agreed that blood will be our seal instead of signature. I look at myself in the mirror in horror. "Why did you even trust him!?" I should have known better! What if he made up that story? What if this is paper is not sacred at all? Then I will be dead! I read our terms and conditions again. It's just written on an ink and states; Lazarus and Genevierre; The Agreement 1. No one shall be forced for blood 2. When one says no, then no. 3. Lazarus should have a drink at least twice a week. 4. Drink just right amount. 5. No one shall be in relationship with others unless agreed by both parties 6. Lazarus can do anything once in his den My forehead knotted in the last number. I really didn't take a good look because we both proceed fighting over how to seal our agreement. I am also not quite sure why there is rule number five. Lazarus said it's not good to have some feelings with others while he is sucking my blood. It's a form of betrayal or cheating. I was about to think that Lazarus likes me when he stated that rules. But what he said makes sense. No matter how hard I ignore, there is a s****l tension between us. I didn't know that vampires are loyal. Come to think of it—since I came here, I never heard he have a relationship with others. Vampires on TV show are flirts and wh0res! "Princess Genevierre?" A court lady called me and said that Lazarus is waiting for me at the lobby. Where is he taking me right now? I am wearing an extravagant ball gown right now. It was unusual than what I wear for everyday as a princess. Is there an occasion that I am not fully aware of? I am wearing a bright red—which is Genevierre's usual color of wardrobe aside from white. I saw Lazarus downstairs in his all black suite. He also... looks good enough. Why did she told the court ladies to dress me up? To faint in a beautiful way? "You look good," he complimented as I reached him. "You're not bad yourself," I just said and act like he doesn't look interesting to me at all. He is hella fine but I am not going to tell that. I heard Lazarus chuckled. "You are acting like I am a peasant in front of you huh?" I rolled my eyes on him and glared. "Where are we even going? Why am I dressed up?" "We are going to the other Kingdom. It's the king's birthday," he told me and offered his hands. "Shall we keep going?" I thought we are going to do something... Wait, why do I sound so disappointed? No, I am not disappointed! It's not like I enjoyed him sipping my blood... Well, a little... I liked it a little. I accepted Lazarus' hands—then he grinned. "This is going to be a long day because you look this good. To add, your neck seems inviting me..." he whispered his last sentence. It hits me later on that we are going outside. It means that I am going to meet people—and see a lot of places! Oh god! I wonder if there is a river to the other kingdom? Should I jump again? No... The Aristocrats will kill me if I came back alive. The sun hits my skin and it was the most beautiful thing that happened to me this week. The castle is nothing but hallow and gloomy inside. "I want to take you right now... Should I drink before going?" I glared on the prince who is being sneaky again. Oh god, no... Stop that. "Stop it..." I entered the carriage and he followed. I heard him chuckled and I didn't say anything. I don't want to ruin my hair and dress... Plus I don't want to do it in rush. I want us... to take it in night—argh, what am I thinking? Lazarus didn't talk about us while traveling because he have his assistant with him and talking about the schedule. While looking and hearing how he respond to his assistant make my eyebrows go up because he sound like a person who makes a lot of sense. Of course, he is the prince. I enjoyed the view while traveling to the other kingdom. Everything seems enchanted. It was like the forest, sparkles, fog, and the sun—like how the book describe a magical forest where you want to get lost. "This is Halana forest," Lazarus told me. "You are smiling. Do you like this place?" "This seems... magical," I commented as I nodded my head on him. "It is magical. Halana is a vampire princess who love a commoner. As their love is forbidden before, this is their meeting place or a witness of their love..." "Oh..." I was surprised! There is also a story behind this? "They died here." My mouth dropped when he immediately told the ending like nothing. "What?!" "I told you, they died. Did you expect that a vampire princess just can love a commoner before? Look at you—you are just a girl who is from a noble family but not a vampire—" Out of reflex, I kicked Lazarus knees and his reaction was surprised. I am not dumbfounded or threatened with Lazarus reaction. I am more worried on his assistant! What if he's going to tell the Aristocrats?! He looked surprised himself! "Oh god, prince!? Are you okay? I saw a bee in your pants so I just kicked it for safety!" Lazarus gritted his teeth—but didn't tell anything. I smiled on his assistant and nodded my head. After a few hours, we arrived at the kingdom. Everyone seems busy as we entered the town! There is also a traffic before entering the palace! "Finally!" I jumped out of the carousel. I was about to tell Lazarus to enter the palace. But I am awe when I saw... him... with another girl. "Prince Lazarus! What took you so long to visit me!?"
