Astrante: Mage Rebirth

Elysia is sitting on her desk, fidgeting the pages of her Physic book with boredom. The professor keeps on rumbling about how lightning occurs. "Lightning occurs commonly during thunderstorms and blah blah blah." Elysia almost rolled her eyeballs to the common pieces of information her professor has been telling them. The slow pace of time is killing her, she doesn't want to take a glance at the wall clock hanging above the whiteboard cause she doesn't want to find out how the time is slowly torturing her. "But volcanic lightning can also occur during volcanic eruptions." Hearing the shrill voice of her professor, Elysia knocked her head to her desk with a low throaty grunt. When will this old hag stop blubbering? She just wants to go home. The school bells must have heard her complaints cause as if on cue, the rooms and corridors are filled with the rumbling noise from the bells. "Finally!" Elysia grunted once more as she raised her hands in the air due to her dying frustration. It's not every day that Elysia is having her bitchy self and she doesn't understand where does her frustration comes from this day. It feels like the wind is snipping her skin that makes her at the edge. Her lips are on a thin line and her eyebrows are furrowed together. Something warm-like is enveloping her head, making it heavy to the point she can't dip her head down cause surely her whole body will follow after. As she walked on the front lawn of their mansion, she keeps on hugging herself not because she's feeling cold but because she can't help the goosebumps that are attacking her body. The sun is about to set, usually, at a certain time like this, the air should be cold right now but no, Elysia is feeling feverish. Her cold sweats are dripping from her forehead and sure enough that her T-shirt is already soaked at the back. She's about to step her foot to the stairs that will lead her to their front door when her hearing was blocked by the sound of statics. Not sooner, their family head butler scampered towards her from the front door, he kneeled in front of her while talking with so much worry in his eyes. "Miss Elysia, I heard your scream from the kitchen. What is happening? Do you want me to call a doctor? Miss Elysia!" But Elysia couldn't hear a word he said, his mouth moved animatedly but no sound is coming out. Elysia pushed the butler away with tears in her eyes and she ran to the backyard, she slumped weakly to the swing that's been hanging from the big oak tree. She feels like a bomb that is about to explode then she feels it, like a thread at the back of her mind that's been cut off. Elysia felt a raging power inside of her, it's electric pulses sending a tingling sensation from her belly flowing to her veins to her limbs and fingers until it reached the highest peak, Elysia screamed with the surging electrifying bolts released from her body. As fast as it goes, all the overwhelming and new sensations also fastly gone, only replaced by the sense of familiarity. From her limp position, she weakly, slowly stand up and she gasped. An electric dome engulfed her. But the next scenery left her speechless, the big oak tree is no more standing to its prosperous height but a big circle of ashes replaced the tree. Elysia doesn't believe in hell but she thinks, it already broke loose.
