Chapter 5

I didn't even know when I drifted off into a nap.I felt a soft tap on my hand and saw the girl with blonde 

hair.I don't know her name yet.She had this look on her face that reminded me of broccoli."I guess I never

 introduced myself.My name is Diana".I looked at her and nodded.This was off to a good start,I hope."It's

 time for dinner.But since you haven't gotten your bags yet,I guess you have to wear your uniform".And with

that she left.I bet she doesn't like me

I regret stepping into the canteen.Everywhere was crowded.Popular girls on one edge.Nerds and geeks on 

the other.Goths are invisible.I don't even know where to fit in.I find an empty table;Yes!.I plop myself on a 

seat and bring my hands and feet to a rest.I see a guy walking towards me.Obviously,he is looking for 

another girl.He is smiling,At me?.I think I need glasses.He pulls out a seat and sits at my table!.Wow.

                         "Are you the girl who fainted at the reception?".With those few words,my heart broke.I guess

 that's what they know me for now.The girl who fainted at the reception.Great.I let out a heavy sigh and 

pulled my seat in.Why do I get my hopes so high?.Thinking that a boy will like me?.Am I still sleeping?.He 

stared at me and I stared back.He's really handsome,I guess.I don't know,I'm not sure.His smile faded as I 

sighed.Was he concerned about me?.My long hair covered my face,how would he even notice?.He moved 

closer,Oh no.I have to run.But I couldn't,I could sit and stare.Then he talked to me,again.

"Are you okay?.I'm sorry if what I said bothered you.I thought you wouldn't take it seriously".His voice has 

an air of calm.It makes me scared.
