I stared at Nick wondering what just happened. There was something certainly wild about this. This time, it was more of passion than desire. Maybe it had to do with the fact that I was already connecting to him. This was something outside of the bond.
I was now in between the bond and something entirely different. I stared at him that instant with a sort of astonished look. I do not think he noticed it. Or did he?
“You.” he said. “Is there something you’re keeping from me?”
“What do you mean?” I said. Leila was in tune with my emotions.
“There is a shift of energy.” he said. “You feel different. Did you think I wouldn’t notice?”
My cheeks turned into a red feeling embarrassed on spot. It didn’t make sense that I did, believe me I wanted to not to but I did. Did this even make sense?
