Chapter Seven

2676 Words

Chapter Seven Diana knew exactly what she needed to do as she walked out of Mr. Bennett’s office. Oh, no, not about this debt. She had absolutely no idea what she could do about that, but she knew what she had to do—what she always did when she needed to think. She needed to go for a ride. It took her no more than fifteen minutes to change into her riding outfit, a split skirt with a matching military-style coat. She pulled on her gloves and left her hat at home. It would simply fly off as she was racing down the road, so there was no point in even attempting to keep it on. She was not going out for a gentle trot around the park. Oh no, not today. She saddled her mare herself, much to the surprise of the English grooms at the stables where she and her father were stabling their horses.
