Chapter One: “New York”
I was a broken thing
Had a voice, had a voice but I couldn’t sing
You would wind me do-“ Angelina, turned the music off and started to stare at her lazy little daughter. Chloe didn’t even look at her because she knew damn well it was her mom.
Who else could it be?
“You’re still listening to these songs?” she said, her voice was high-pitched and nasally. “Ah! Come on Chloe, you’re still mad at me for yesterday?”
Chloe wasn’t even that mad but after this she couldn’t help it and started sulking. She was planning to look at her new diary but her mother was forcing her to talk about it, she was feeling that big judgy green eyes of her on her face.
“Yes. Yes, I’m extremely annoyed with you. I’m eighteen years old, mom. You can’t patronize me like you used to. You need to respect my likings, my music, my hobbies and my photos even if my dad is in it!” In the end of the sentence she was yelling and tried to calm herself down.
Her mom and dad were separated for 8 years. Chloe was staying with her mom because she had no choice. Her dad was a pilot and they barely had time together.
Her mom sighed. Chloe wasn't in the mood for this.
“I want to walk around here. I won’t be late.” She grabbed her sweatshirt and left the room before her mom.
She was feeling terrible for leaving London and everyone behind. Now she was alone with her mother in this new life.
*take a deep breath*
*you good, Chloe*
Repeated these sentence and put a big gorgeous smile on her face.
“Everything is gonna be fine.” she said because she wanted to believe that. But Chloe wasn't lucky person at all, everyone would do something but she'd be the one who gets caught. Or everyone would've had that day they would call themselves "lucky" but she never had any of that. So when she passed the corner, seeing that big dog running to her was the biggest proof of this situation. Chloe was scared of big dogs since age 9 and nobody could've helped this fear during these years.. When she turned around and started running while she still looking at the dog over her shoulder, her body hit another body, muscled enough to resemble as a mountain, and she staggered to the ground. His phone fell on the ground and cracked in front of her eyes. She slowly followed his long legs up with her green eyes. And this is how it started. Escaping from one fear leaded her to the way of another fear.. Which will extend to places she never knew existed..
