Isaac’s POV

“Where do you want me to bring this, Alpha?” Wyatt asked holding a case of alcohol.

“The bar is set up in the kitchen, line up the bottles on the island.” I ordered.

I hosted many parties at the campus packhouse, many wild parties. Werewolves loved to let loose and cause a raucous.

I was second in line for the Alpha position, my older brother Cohen had taken over the position from my father 5 years ago. He leads the pack down on the Midnight Howl territory. A few years ago, my father purchased land near the university and built a campus packhouse to allow young wolves to receive proper education. My brother ran the packhouse here until he was appointed Alpha. Now we felt it was a good idea for me to run the campus packhouse, it made sense since I was a student at this University anyways.

I love taking care of my pack, my brother called me a momma’s boy because I was always considerate of everyone’s feelings, just like my mom, the Luna. My mother always told me that a good Alpha had to care for his pack, and that’s what I intended to do, to care for and of course to protect my own.

The University was holding their annual open house day, they invited the public to visit the campus to encourage them to enrol. All the sorority and fraternity houses were hosting parties as well for their future pledges. For the wolves, it was undoubtedly simply a reason to drink and have s*x.

Most of us were hoping to meet our mates tonight, young 18 year olds from everywhere were coming to visit the campus, and since we can feel our mates as soon as both are of the age of 18, the chances were greater to meet your mate at this event.

I had a good feeling about tonight, my wolf was going crazy in my mind, I was feeling anxious and very excited.

As soon as the bar and the dance floor were set up, I decided to do something special in the backyard as well. In hopes that my mate would attend tonight, I could impress her with a beautifully lit garden.

I hung fairy lights across the trees and shrubs and I started a little fire in the fire pit. As soon as I was done, it was nearing the time of the party so I ran to the Alpha suite which is basically the entire third floor.

I ran up the left staircase, the girl’s rooms were on the left and the boy’s rooms were on the right but there was a staircase in the middle that lead to my suite. When I reached the top, I got pulled into the first room. What the hell?

The room was pitch black, all I could hear was heavy breathing and a familiar scent. Ava.

I let out a loud sigh. “Ava..you need to stop this.”

“Oh come on, we used to have so much fun. You can’t tell me you’re not into it..” Ava whispered as she placed her hands under my shirt and ran her fingers all over my 8 pack while kissing my neck.

I grabbed her wrists abruptly and pushed her away roughly. I had had enough of her, I rejected this woman countless times, what would I have to do for her to catch a hint?

“ENOUGH. You WILL stop harassing me Ava. I am running out of nice ways to turn you down. We hooked up once and to be honest, it was pretty lame.” I answered rudely. I was done with being nice to her.

“And why the hell are you in this room? Wasn’t this Heather’s room?” I questioned.

“I made her switch with me. This room was more..accessible.” She said, trying to sound sexy, but really she just sounded creepy.

“You meant to say that you could spy on me better from this room. I’m not permitting it, you will move back into your old room, if you don’t want to follow the Alpha’s rules, you can drop out of University and move back into the packhouse down home.” I said decisively, frowning my eyebrows at her.

I stormed out of there and left her sobbing. I used to feel bad for her, her mate rejected her because he was an Alpha and Ava’s family were omegas. It really was despicable what he did, no one should reject their fated mate, especially not because of the wolf’s rank.

She’s been having a tough time dealing with it, and she mistook my friendliness for something else. I had tried to console her one night a year ago, I found her crying in the library. I was rubbing her back and giving her compliments to cheer her up, before I knew it, she jumped in my arms and was kissing me hungrily. I felt too bad rejecting her at that moment, I know I should have, now she won’t leave me alone.

I ran up the last stair case and quickly undressed to take a shower. I decided to use a new shampoo for tonight, my mom had bought me this beach scent shampoo that I had never used but for some reason I felt compelled to use this particular brand.

After my shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and wiped the fog from the mirror. I stared back at my reflection, analyzing my appearance. Why the f**k was I so nervous? I had never doubted my looks before, girls were always throwing themselves at me, I knew I was good looking. But now, looking at the mirror, I was criticizing my brown wavy hair, and wishing I could always have my wolf’s piercing blue eyes instead of my brown ones. Could I have worked out a bit more? Were my biceps big enough? I did have 8 abs..but my brother had 10. F**k Isaac, get a hold of yourself!

I got dressed and ran down the stairs, some guests had already started to arrive.

“Hey Alpha, Todd the dumb f**k forgot to buy ice. What do you wanna do?” Liam asked. Ugh. I guess I have to do everything around here.

“Alright, i’ll run down to the store to buy some. Please greet our guests.” I asked him.

I hurried to the store and back, I had a feeling someone was waiting for me, I couldn’t keep her waiting too long!

I opened the doors to the house and it was packed, the party was already roaring. The dance floor was full of attractive women dancing but my attention was drawn somewhere else. A sweet vanilla scent mixed with warm strawberry pie filled my nose, bringing me to a trance. It was HER. I could smell her, she was here, my mate was here! But where?! I dropped the ice bags in Todd’s arms and searched the house without giving him any explanation. I walked through the dance floor but no one was catching my eye, I walked back to the entrance and looked frantically at all the other rooms. There.

There, in the kitchen, stood the most beautiful girl in the entire world. Her beautiful brown wavy hair fell on her back, she was taking a shot and then slammed it on the counter. She looked like a feisty one. My f**k, that purple dress she wore made my d**k hard instantly. Her gorgeous back was bare, luscious tanned skin, I wanted nothing more than to run my tongue up and down her skin. Her dress flared perfectly over her sexy bubble butt, f**k my d**k twitched at the sight. She slammed a second shot on the counter and then dragged a fiery redhead with her in the direction of the dance floor.

I made my way to the kitchen, my face was probably completely flushed. I wiped the sweat off my forehead and I noticed Devin, a wolf from my pack but who was residing in the neighbouring town. His father was in charge of overlooking the safety procedures put in place for the community. We had been collaborating with the town’s mayor for many years, we promised him we would put a few werewolf families in his town in order to protect them from any danger, mainly vampire attacks.

The smug bastard was smiling at me, what was so funny?

“So how’d you like to meet your mate? I should get some sort of reward or something for bringing her here right??” Devin said grinning.

“Your mate? Your mate is here Alpha? Who is it?” Liam asked excitedly.

“You just gave her two shots of patron! You met her before the big Alpha here.” Devin answered laughing. I growled loudly and my canines were showing.

They needed to stop talking about my beautiful mate. I didn’t like that someone else provided for her instead of me. Liam and Devin both raised their hands in surrender and bared their neck in submission.

I turned my attention to the dance floor, plenty of wolves were dancing carelessly, but I didn’t have trouble at all finding HER in the middle of the crowd. It’s as if no one else was there but her, she was dancing so seductively. My body tensed, my wolf was trying to surface, I wanted to mark her right then and there, then I felt a hand on my shoulder.

“Hey Alpha, I don’t want to butt in here but I just thought you should know that she’s human, she has no knowledge of the supernatural world. Take it slow with her.” Devin said gently.

I didn’t care if she was a unicorn at this point, she was the most beautiful creature I had ever laid eyes on and she would be mine. I would wait forever for her.

“Uh..another thing Alpha..uh..she’s kinda involved with someone.” Devin said shyly.

“What do you mean involved?!” I growled at him.

“She has a boyfriend down home, but I had a feeling you were her mate. So I made sure he stayed away from her this weekend.” Devin said proudly. How in the world did he have a feeling I was her mate?! I’d have to question him later.

A boyfriend..that threw a wrench in my plans for sure. I’d have to work extra hard to win her over, and I WILL win her, she will be MINE.

At that moment, a very drunk Ava came stumbling into the kitchen. She sloppily put her hands on my shoulders, gripping on them to hold her balance.

“Alphaaaa!” Ava said swaying from side to side.

I grabbed her hands and put them in Devin’s hands.

“Hey Devin, have you ever met Ava? Ava, you should see Devin’s dance moves.” I said.

“Entertain her for the rest of the night. For the rest of your life if you want. Consider this your reward.” I said to Devin through mindlink.

“Sure Boss” Devin answered. He winked at Ava and guided her to the dance floor. She put her hand over her mouth and she giggled at him. Yes! Finally free!

I glanced over at my sweet mate, she was still dancing with her friend. I needed her alone.

“Hey Liam, would you ask my mate’s friend to dance?” I asked him.

“You don’t have to ask me twice!” Liam answered as he rubbed his hands together and made his way through the crowd.

Now she was dancing all alone, I noticed one of my wolves attempting to approach her.

“NO ONE IS TOTOUCH THE PRETTY BRUNETTE IN THE PURPLE DRESS. SHE’S MINE!!!” I yelled at all the male wolves in the campus packhouse.

It was time for me to make me move..my f**k I was nervous!
