Isaac’s POV

I glared at Whitney angrily. I was going to ease into the conversation with Mila. Whitney went and blurted out that the guy ‘was already dead anyways’. I wasn’t going to mention vampires right away, I knew it would scare her. How am I going to salvage this?

I mindlinked Whitney to give us some privacy, she smiled at me and got up.

“It was so nice to meet you, Mila! I really enjoyed our chat, it’s so fun to have another girl here to talk to!” Whitney said to Mila while giving her a sisterly hug.

I couldn’t help but smile, I wanted Mila to feel comfortable here and to love my family, I wanted her to love me too.

“It was really nice meeting you as well, Whitney.” Mila said politely.

Whitney pulled away from the hug and started to walk out, she stopped when she got next to me and put a comforting hand on my shoulder.

“Be gentle with her, Isaac.” Whitney mindlinked me.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her. What did she think I would do? Shift right in front of her and make her faint?

“Duh.” I replied sassily. I didn’t have enough sleep to deal with nonsense today.

As soon as Whitney left the room and shut the door, Mila started giggling. Ugh. That was the most wonderful sound in the world, right after her moans of course. I c****d an eyebrow at her as I sat down next to her on the couch.

“Looks like you and I have the same morning grumpiness.” Mila said laughing. I started to approach her playfully and she backed away while still laughing.

“Oh yeah?” I asked while starting to tickle her.

She tried to grab my wrists and stop me but she was obviously not strong enough. She was laughing really loudly and now using her feet to push me away. As much as I adored hearing her laugh, I stopped my tickling assault on her and let her take a breath.

When she finally got over her laughing fit, she leaned on the arm rest and brought her knees up, cuddling them with her arms.

“So..about last night..” she started nervously.

Ugh f**k..I guess I should get this awkward conversation out of the way. I nodded to her and leaned on the other side comfortably as well.

“Yeah..I have a lot of things to tell you, Mila. I hope you can forgive me for not telling you right away. I promise I was planning on telling you all about it really soon.” I started.

She looked at me with her big brown eyes, and I instantly felt like everything would be ok.

“There are a lot of things in this world that you’re not aware of..i’m not exactly who you think I am.” I said softly, looking at her for a reaction. She just nodded for me to continue.

“I’m a werewolf.” I said point blank.

I was expecting for her to run for the hills, to scream in fright, but no..she just widened those beautiful eyes of hers.

“Mila..?” I asked after a couple minutes of silence. Pleading her silently for her to be ok with this, I started to come closer to her but she stiffened when I moved so I leaned back on my side.

“Are you going to hurt me?” She asked lowly, making my heart break in two.

“No! I would never hurt you, Mila! I promise.” I said as I finally moved close to her and rubbed her legs gently.

“You..killed someone last night..” She said nervously, I sighed. I guess I should just rip the bandaid off, this way she would understand fully.

“He was a vampire..He would of killed us, I promise that I did it to protect you.” I said gently. Her mouth flew open in shock and her eyes could possibly be any bigger.

“WHAT?! He was a..what?!” She screamed. I knew it was supposed to be a serious moment but I couldn’t help but find her absolutely adorable at this moment, I let a small grin slip.

“You find this funny, Isaac? There was a f*****g vampire after us last night and you’re here laughing at me?!” She said angrily, I bit my lips to hold myself from laughing again but then she suddenly dropped her eyes down and smiled a little.

“I’m sorry Mila! I don’t mean to laugh at you, I just think it’s funny how different your reaction was from werewolves and vampires.” I said. She looked at me and smiled while shrugging her shoulders.

“Are you afraid of me?” I asked nervously, she looked at me seriously and sighed.

“No.” She said simply, I nodded at her.

“You’re taking this pretty well actually..” I said proudly.

“Yeah..i’m surprising myself too.” She said, sounding confused.

“Do you have any questions you want to ask me?” I asked.

She went on to ask me 101 questions, I answered all of them and explained everything to her. I told her how we were able to shift for the first time when we turned 18, I told her about mindlinking, I told her pretty much everything except for mates. I left that part out for now..

“So everyone that lives here is a werewolf?” She asked innocently.

“Yeah..there are actually a lot of werewolves. More than you would think..” I started.

Her eyes widened instantly as everything clicked in her mind.

“Liam?” She gasped.

“Yeah.” I said while laughing.

“Oh my god..Dev and Will..they knew about this place..how do they fit in here?” She asked.

“They’re werewolves too, babe.” I said softly.

She jumped to her knees in shock and gasped loudly.

“WHAT!!?” She yelled, now looking furious.

“The f***ers never told me!?” She spat angrily, which made me start laughing.

She shook her head in disbelief and mumbled some things that I didn’t understand.

“Isaac..” Mila said calmly.

Hearing her speak my name was the most attractive thing ever, I wanted to bite into those sweet full lips of hers..

“Yeah?” I asked while scooting closer to her.

“Could you show me?” She asked softly.

“You want to see my wolf?” I asked excitedly.

She nodded and smiled. F**K YES!
