Heart racing, Kaira rushed across the hangar bay. A lifter stacked with heavy pallets had to crunch to a halt as she cut in front of it, and the driver started cursing her loudly. “Sorry!” she shouted over her shoulder, not slowing at all. She focused on being more careful, but in her rush didn’t manage it well. She left a trail of people shaking their heads and in several cases swearing loudly, but she hardly noticed. She reached the Glimmer and rushed to the cargo bay airlock where Tarkus was standing watching the activity as crates were loaded onto the Glimmer.
