Kaira stood by the door leading out of the cargo hold, her bag over her shoulder. She was ready. No, she was more than ready! The lure of the hot bath drew her forward. She hit the control to open it. Once again the door ground its way open, juddering several times but not stopping long enough for her to feel the need to apply her boot. Once the door had opened far enough she slipped through, then pressed the control to close the door. It let out a loud clang and slammed to a stop. She cursed herself for not waiting for the door to finish opening before trying to close it. After a few seconds the door started shuddering its way closed again, and managed to close without any drama.
