Kaira was finally pulled out of her near-hypnotised state as Tarkus stretched noisily. She blinked several times, realising she had absolutely no idea how long she’d been staring at the fascinating blue mists.
Her mind felt sluggish at first, but it soon caught back up and she found herself feeling as if she’d had a long and restful sleep. Then a thought struck her.
“Oh!” she said. “I forgot to tell you! While I was waiting in the hangar bay I heard some people there talking. You won’t believe what they told me! They said the Wanderer has returned! They said that Jess is back!”
