What's Going On?

819 Words
"Hang on, Honey,"  Allia says to Noah as she tries to adjust herself on the bed. While moving she accidentally wakes Alex and Bryan. Bryan looks around confused for a moment but Alex instantly looks at his mother worried. She always finds it amusing how both him and his father worry so much. "Mom?" Alex say cautiously. This causes Bash to turn and look at her too. "I'm fine kiddos, just a little-" Allia couldn't finish her sentence as the most excruciating pain hits her. She screams out while protectively holding her stomach and tries to get up. When Allia stands she immediately falls to the ground in pain. "Is the baby coming?! What's going on? MOM!" She can't distantly here all of the boys calling out to her. She tries to mind link Dorran, or anyone really, but the pain is too much and none of her babies can yet. She writhes in pain for what seems like forever until she blacks out. Dorran still feels uneasy leaving her home alone. She's not alone he keeps telling himself, but it just doesn't feel right. Though he went on the run, he refuses to go any further than a few miles, just in case. But, as always, Lia was right and the pack was thrilled that he decided to go with them after all. He always forgets how reliant wolves are to each other. High demons are mostly solitary creatures and still tend to keep to themselves even when they integrate to the mortal society. It's late enough, that Dorran thought nothing would really happen, so he prepared to got further in the forest with the other wolves. Just before he takes off, Dorran heard his precious wife scream. He takes off and reaches the house within a few seconds and bursts into their room to find his children crowded on the floor with horror, shock, and worry all on their faces and Travis, Taylor, Will, and the triplets are crying. Then he sees his wife in wolf form lying on the ground. She looks as if she's sleeping soundly and he lets himself relax a little. Until he realizes she's supposed to be pregnant, on bed rest, and in human form. He had forgotten that he stood in front of his kids naked until Bash handed his a pair of basketball shorts. When Dorran walks over to his sleeping wife he sees something small squiggling next to Lia. He hadn't seen her when he first came in, but he looked down at his new daughter. She is so small, Dorran thought, She's barely bigger than my hand!    Allia wakes up to the sound of her beloved husband, she can hear that he's talking to someone but they don't respond back to him. He must be on the phone, she thinks as she hears him pacing softly. Allia smiles softly as she opens her eyes to look at him. He isn't on the phone like she had originally thought and is, instead, holding something small and white. Allia tries to sit up to get a better look and realizes how sore her body is. She flinches and Dorran turns around with a surprised look on his face. "Hey, you. Feelin ok?" he asks with a heartwarming softness. Allia finally got a better look at the white thing he's holding and realizes that its a tiny puppy. As if on cue, memories of what happened last night rush in. She feels tears well up in her eyes as she looks at the puppy again, "Is that-" As she looks again Allia notices that she's a wolf not a puppy and is just about the cutest thing she's ever seen. Dorran smiles so brightly that Allia can't help but smile too. He walks over and carefully sits on the bed and hold out his hand for her to see.   Allia looks and feels her love and confusion swell up, "She's so small. Why is she a wolf? I don't remem-" Allia's questions get cut short when the pup yawns and snuggles further in her father's hands.  "From what Bash told me, you fell over in pain and then you shifted and gave birth to her. After that, you were asleep and have been for the last couple of days. The doctor came and checked on you two, I have pack members doing research on what happened when I can't, and the boys have been in here 24/7 with you. I actually just got them to leave not to long ago, they've been really worried."  Allia follows along with what she is being told the best she can but is still exhausted. Dorran, seeming to sense it, lays her back down and tells her to rest. She soon falls asleep with her beautiful baby girl in her hands while Dorran strokes her hair. *AN* I'm new at writing so any helpful and respectful comments are welcome.
