Chapter 20 Ivy was grating potatoes in the kitchen, humming along with holiday songs on the radio. She was thinking about past holidays and how this year was so different. The scent of fresh russet potatoes and onions sizzling in oil on the stovetop filled the kitchen, spurring memories of breakfasts at a favorite neighborhood deli and Friday night suppers at a friend’s house in Boston.
