Chapter 21 “Do we have everything we need?” Ivy asked, picking up her gloves from the table in the foyer. She and Shelly were on their way to the Holiday Boat Parade, a Christmas Eve tradition in Summer Beach. In the winter, the sun set before five in the evening. After the parade, they’d have plenty of time for a traditional Christmas Eve supper with their family at the inn. “The Jeep is packed and ready to go,” Shelly said. “Pre-party on the boat, here we come.” Most of the shops in Summer Beach closed before the annual water parade of brightly lit boats.
