Chapter 26Giant had gone to the grocery store and cleaned the kitchen yesterday. In the morning, he cooked. “Quiche needs time to cool down before you eat it,” he told Pidge and Bradley. “Eat a pie crust cookie if you’re hungry.” The cookies were scraps of trimmed off dough, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and rolled into twists. There were only a few of them. Giant was making orange muffins for the guests. “You’re going to have visitors,” Pidge told Buddy, holding his front paws.
