Dear Diary: The invitation

522 Words
I opened my eyes as the sun rays from my window touched my skin. "What happened last night?", I asked and scratched my hair. I combed my hair and find my phone. The last thing I remember from Zenic's party was Olivia and I were dancing on the top of the table. How did I got home? Maybe Olivia gave me a ride again. So I called Olivia and thank her for dropping me in our house. "Huh?!", she said. Her voice indicated she was surprised. So I asked her, "If it's not you, who brought me home?". "I don't know, I slept all night in our car.", she replied. "As far as I remember, you left me first. So I did not bother to find you.", she added. I'm sorry about that but I really can't remember anything. "I don't know what happened last night. I just woke up that I was already in my bed.", I explained. "No worries, what's important is you got home safe and complete.", then she laughed and hang up the call. I am wondering who has a big heart to take me home. My angel hahaha *Knock knock* As I heard my dad knocked my door, I covered my whole body with my blue velvet blanket. Who wants to see his child dressed like that to go to a party, right? I mean I am completely different with this red tube dress, it's revealing and seducing. He only knows that I was in the party but he does not know that I'm wearing something like this. He might burst if he found out. My dad opened the door, checked if I'm still sleeping and put something on my desk. After that, he immediately left. Both of us maintain the word privacy. I tried to stand still and walk towards my desk. I sat on my chair and look on my mirror first. I grab the envelope and opened it. It was an invitation for a summer camp. Every summer I got this kind of letter. But I never tried to join. Even Olivia. Why? Because we both hate the sun, it burns skin. I threw the letter and go back to my bed. I still feel dizzy. But I still can managed to grab my phone and scrolled through f*******:. I saw one of the post on our University's page saying that the summer camp is now mandatory and not just an extracurricular activities. The said summer camp was approved by the principal primarily to develop and improve student's communication skills. They've reasoned out that most of the students are too good at technical and analytical skills, thus they have decided to build student's communication skills. Olivia called me again. Seems like she just found out like me. I know she will hate our principal. I answered and asked, "Have you seen it?". "Am I dreaming, please say yes.", Olivia complained. I expected it. Every summer, Olivia and I are hanging out overnight whether in our house or theirs. And now, we are about to experience the power of summer. Are we ready for this?
