Carlos’ POV
I saw Layla was already in my car and Emma was already in Marcus’ car. I saw her walk up to our parents, but I was too far to hear anything they said or what she said to them.
I say my final goodbyes to the ranked members of this pack. I am curious about how life will be once we leave these lands. I know the pack bond will remain until Emma and I either break it by cutting ties with our pack or being accepted into a new pack by their alpha.
Alpha Austin suggested that we keep the bond for now so that we don’t give off the smell of rouges. Until we get the paperwork done at the Mystic Shadow pack and become legal citizens on the vampire kingdom, smelling like rouges could cause us unnecessary trouble while visiting the other packs.
