Chapter - 1
The phone rang. As soon as she lifted the call. A loud voice came “ Luna, where are you? , why didn't you answer my call ”
“Okay, take a deep breath, I'm going to the interview ” luna said with a soft voice
“Are you sure about this, you can work with me. It is better than joining the jade corporation .” the girl continued.
“I have already decided but don't worry, I can handle this.” Luna said , confidence is clearly visible in her voice .
Ending the call. Luna stepped out of the cab in front of the tall building. By taking a deep breath she goes inside . As she entered the lift . The sound of whispers filled the elevator. Everyone is talking about today's interview.
“Have you heard that Alex set up an interview for a personal assistant.” One girl said.
“Yes and the 10th floor is filled with people. Alex never had a PA before. Why all of a sudden.” Another girl said.
Hearing all this conversation. Luna is getting nervous And her brain is overwhelmed with questions. Luna stepped out of the lift on the 10th floor. Everyone is looking at Luna cause she looks so young and a little short to mention . Luna's tension increased further as she saw people staring at her.
Luna went and took a seat. It has been 2 hours since she came. There were a lot of people who came to take the interview. Luna's eyes roaming between the people. She observed everyone in detail without staring. Everyone there looks so experienced . But this is Luna's first interview.
As Luna enters the cabin. Her eyes widened looking at him. Alex Foster the CEO of Jade's corporation. Looking at him Luna thought “he is more handsome than I thought , he is supposed to be 27 years old but looks young to me.but it doesn't matter papa said he is a criminal. I should be careful.” Thinking about this Luna knocked on the door.
“You must be no. 73 ,name -Luna william.” A voice came from the right side. Luna quickly looked in that direction. A tall man was standing there with a file in his hand. He gestured to me to take a seat. Alex was too busy looking at his phone with cold eyes and no expression. He didn't ever bother looking at resume . Forget about the resume he didn't even look at her
" Does this man even care about this interview."Thinking this Luna was waiting for Alex to say something.
“ Why do you want this job?” Alex asked with a cold tone looking at his phone.
Hearing his voice gave Luna chills through her spine. Luna's heart forgot to beat for a second.
Calming down she said to herself you can do this. You got this.
“Working with such a big company like Jade's corporation will give a lot of experience for people like me” Luna said looking at Alex. Her voice was so sweet that it was like a child's voice. Alex quickly looked at Luna, his eyes widened. Luna looks so young like a teenager.
“The interview is over" Alex said looking back at his phone.Luna looked at him in shock but didn't say a word. The other man guided her out of the cabin.
"What just happened, do these people call this an interview or did I mess this too with the first question itself " thinking that Luna entered the lift.
Alex's Cabin-
Alex was looking at his phone again then a voice came “why did you end it so soon”.
Alex raised his head and said “Andrew, send everyone away. I have found the one” There was a smirk on his face
“Yes, I will” saying this Andrew walked out of the cabin.
"I have a bad feeling about this. What is going on in his mind anyway. I can never understand this guy , not to this life " Andrew stepped out of the cabin murmuring
Night 10 pm -
Luna was sitting in front of her laptop drinking water. Then an email popped up. Looking at it her eyes widened, she almost slipped the water from her mouth.
" I have been selected as the PA of Alex, the CEO of Jade's corporation. Am I dreaming? Oh god this has to be a dream out of those people how can I pass. I'm not even beautiful. There were a lot of hot people who came to take the interview. Looks like I'm just Overthinking things " Thinking this Luna went to take a shower. After coming out of the shower. Luna noticed another email on display.
The email says miss Luna Williams can start her work tomorrow. The work details will be mentioned later. Reading this Luna's brain exploded. Taking a deep breath Luna read the email again and again till she got tired. Luna jumped on her bed staring at the ceiling and murmured “so this is true then, I got the job, but why me out of all”
Luna could not sleep thinking about all this.
On the other hand Alex is sitting in front of his grandpa with his head down. Jade Foster is Alex's grandfather and the founder of Jade's corporation.
“Now, tell me, have you found an assistant yet?” Grandpa asked with a harsh tone.
Alex did not respond as he was thinking about what happened yesterday. It is running through his head. He could not think about anything else.
Flashback (yesterday) -
Alex was sitting in front of grandpa with his head down. Alex could not look into his eyes.
“Look at yourself, you almost got killed today. Do you have any idea what you are doing?” Grandpa said. Anger is clearly visible in his eyes.
“No one can kill me, It is just a small injury , I'm not going to die, why are you making a big deal out of it.” saying this Alex tried to raise his head but he couldn't do it.
“Making a big deal, I made you a CEO not a gangster. How did you end up like this? Since when did you become a part of the underground world . Now tell me.” saying this grandpa raised Alex's head to meet his eyes .
“It doesn't matter.” Alex said in irritation
Alex increased Jade's anger further more with his words.
“You are going to listen to me from now onwards or give up your CEO post right now”
"I can't give up that place. If I need to survive in the under world I need power and wealth " Alex thought for a second.
“What you want me to do” Alex said
“ You are going to get a personal assistant. You don't even care about your own health. Look at you.” Grandpa said pointed a finger at Alex
“Don't you have enough people spying on me.” Alex murmur.
“What did you say” Grandpa almost yelled at him
“Okay I will get an assistant.” Alex said with irritation.
Alex further said “Can I leave now”
“Not so soon. The doctor is here. Let him treat you ” Grandpa stopped him from moving anywhere.
Present -
Grandpa shook Alex's shoulder which brought him back to his sense
" Yes but this assistant of mine is not going to work for you but she will work for me. I will make her work for me. Wait and see, no one can stop me from this journey of mine." Think of this Alex slowly raised his head
“yes,I have found an assistant” .
Jade did not ask anything further but left silently.
