IN THE BEGINING
Early Morning Routine and Start of the Day
In the early morning, the alarm rings, and James gets up by snoozing it. He heads for a warm water bath, then makes some bread toast, an omelette, and coffee in the kitchen. Just as he sits in the dining hall to eat, the doorbell rings. He covers his food with a lid and answers the door. It's the newspaper man, Scott Hads, delivering the morning news.
Scott: Good morning, James.
James: Good morning, Scott. What's up? Why so early?
Scott: To give you some news.
James (eagerly): Some news?
Scott: Yes, really. That's my job. A few months back, a doctor went missing from the hospital. She was later found dead in the abandoned forest of Sedini.
James: Oh, so sad.
Scott: Yep, really. The cops investigated but found no assailant. Her husband is now hiring private agencies to find the killer.
James (quickly): Which agency is he heading to?
Scott: Rumors say he's heading to J.T. Agency.
Scott checks his watch.
Scott: Oh, I’m late. I have to go now, or others might scold me.
James: Hey, wait a sec. Is that watch new?
Scott: Yes, it was a gift from an old friend.
James: Oh man, you have such a sweet friend. It looks like a branded one. Is it branded?
Scott: Yes, it’s Lange & Söhne’s Datograph.
James: What? That watch costs up to 75 lakhs!
Scott: No, not at all. It just costs 12,345 rupees. James, I have to leave now. I can't stand and talk any longer because others will deny my orders.
Scott rides away on his bike, throwing the newspaper. James, doubting if the watch is stolen property, dismisses the thought and finishes his breakfast. He then dresses in formal attire, takes his favorite car, SPARC 7860, and heads to his office.
