A BEDROOM IN THE

HOUSE:

Olivia and Bree are here, lying on the bed. Olivia has already fallen asleep. But Bree is awake. She is having trouble falling asleep. And she decides not to sleep. She checks if Olivia is awake.

BREE

(in a low voice)

Olivia?

But Olivia is in a deep sleep. Bree quietly gets out of bed, puts on her jacket and slowly walks out of the room without making a noise. Then she walks out of the house in the same manner. Kaden is sitting on the couch in the living room, reading a book at this moment. He hears the sounds of her feet and thinks that there is someone at the door. He goes towards the front door to check who it is but the door is already closing behind Bree by the time he reaches there. Bree is now standing outside the house. She looks in the direction of the forest seen behind the horse yard and starts walking towards it. She has decided to go for a walk. Kaden looks out of the big window near the door and sees her walking down the front walk. He quickly grabs his jacket and goes out after her.

FOREST:

Bree has already walked into the forest. She is slowly walking through it and examining the trees, bushes and other plants that surround her. Kaden is about 40-45 m behind her. Bree hasn't noticed him yet. He is trying to be as quiet as possible. He does not want to disturb her. But suddenly he steps on a dry branch which snaps under his foot. And a loud cracking sound! Kaden freezes but Bree has already heard it. She turns around quickly and sees Kaden.

KADEN

I'm really sorry! I didn't want to scare you!

BREE

(cool)

You did not scare me.

KADEN

Mind if I join you?

BREE

(cool)

No.

Kaden comes up to her. They start walking.

BREE (CONT'D)

So why are you following me?

KADEN

Aah... Um... Just to make sure you are alright.

Bree looks at him.

KADEN (CONT'D)

(continues)

It can be pretty dangerous to be

out here all alone.

BREE

Dangerous?

KADEN

Yeah. You know, bears, wolves...

BREE

(chuckles)

Bears? Here?

KADEN

You never know.

BREE

So what are you going to do if a

bear comes out of those bushes?

KADEN

I don't know. But... I will

definitely not let it hurt you.

Bree shakes her head and smiles. After a few steps Kaden starts the conversation again.

KADEN (CONT'D)

So what do you think?

BREE

About what?

KADEN

About the farm.

BREE

Oh, it is a really awesome place.

I love it.

KADEN

I'm happy to hear that. What about the idea of turning it into a hotel?

BREE

Well, I'm not a businessperson. But I'm sure anyone who decides to stay here, will not regret it.

KADEN

So I made a good deal?

BREE

Yep. You made a good deal.

KADEN

So when are you going to apologize to me?

Bree stops when she hears these words.

BREE

Apologize?

KADEN

Yeah. Apologize.

BREE

Apologize for what?

KADEN

For not trusting and believing me.

Bree shakes her head and chuckles softly.

BREE

Oh, right.

KADEN

You also have to admit that you got mad when you saw Melanie in my apartment.

BREE

What? Why would I get mad?

KADEN

I don't know. How about because

you got jealous?

BREE

(laughs, surprised)

Jealous? And why would I get

jealous?

KADEN

Because you are in love with me.

BREE

Huh? What?

And she starts laughing.

KADEN

Come on, just admit it.

BREE

I will not admit anything. I'm not in love with you.

KADEN

(calmly)

Yes, you are. And you know it.

Bree looks at him. Shakes her head, turns and starts walking away from him. Kaden is still standing there. And the place where he is standing, is a little hilly. When Bree walks about 100 feet away from him, he calls out after her.

KADEN (CONT'D)

If you don't admit you love me,

right now, I'm going to throw

myself down the hill behind me.

Bree does not stop.

KADEN (CONT'D)

I'm serious!

BREE

(without turning to him,

in a loud voice)

You are being childish, Mr. Elmer!

At this moment Kaden accidentally steps on something and his feet slip. He loses his foothold and starts sliding down.

KADEN

(to himself)

Damn!

He tries not to fall by grabbing something but there is nothing to grasp. And in a moment, he rolls down the hill crashing into branches and stones on the way. He ouches as he rolls down. Bree hears his voice and turns quickly to him.

BREE

Kaden?

But she can't see him.

BREE (CONT'D)

Kaden! Oh my God! Kaden?

She runs up the hill and looks down. Kaden is lying down there and not moving. She is really scared. She quickly starts rushing down the hill.

BREE (CONT'D)

Oh my God! Oh my God! Kaden!

Kaden, are you alright?

She reaches the bottom of the hill and sees that Kaden is lying on the ground unconscious. His eyes are closed. It seems like he doesn't breathe. Bree starts panicking.

BREE (CONT'D)

(hysterically)

Oh no no no! Please, don't!

Please, God, Please! Kaden, open

your eyes! Oh my God! Please,

Kaden, don't do this to me! You

can't die! You can't die!

She is trying to revive him by touching his face, hands and chest hysterically. But Kaden is still unconscious. Bree takes his hands in hers and holds them tightly. She is crying hysterically.

BREE (CONT'D)

(hysterically)

No! No! Kaden, please! Help!

Someone, please, help me!

But Kaden is actually faking unconsciousness. He opens his one eye carefully and sees that Bree is very scared. He can't stand to see her suffer anymore. So he decides to stop playing.

KADEN

If the person doesn't breathe, you should give him artificial respiration.

Bree freezes when she hears his voice. She stops crying. There are still tears in her eyes. She looks at him. His eyes are open and he is looking at her, smiling. Her immediate reaction is intense excitement. With tears of happiness, she hugs him still lying on the ground.

BREE

You are alive! Oh my God! Thank

you! You are alright!

Then she realizes he was pretending a while ago. Pulls herself back and punches him in the chest.

BREE (CONT'D)

You were playing dead? I almost lost my mind! How can you do this to me?

Kaden whimpers when Bree hits him.

KADEN

Ow!

He did hurt himself a little as he fell but it is not so bad. He is laughing at the same time.

BREE

I'm sorry! I'm sorry! You alright?

KADEN

(chuckles)

Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.

And he tries to stand up. Bree helps him up.

KADEN (CONT'D)

(looking into her eyes)

But it made me happy to see you

cry for me.

Bree looks at him sourly. But she is very happy that he is alright.

BREE

Heartless!

Kaden chuckles, satisfied.

KADEN

Now, I'm sure.

BREE

Of what?

KADEN

You are soo in love with me.

BREE

Oh, you arrogant, overconfident...

Kaden doesn't let her finish the sentence. He presses his lips down on hers and kisses her gently. Bree returns his kiss. And this is their first kiss...
