A busy city street - Morning Crowd of people. Commuters walking. A BIG HOUSE: KADEN - a handsome young man aged around 30, is in front of the mirror fixing his tie. He is in a business suit. BACK TO THE STREET: BREE - a young lady aged around 24, is talking on the phone, frustrated with the person she is talking to. She looks like a simple student. STEVEN - a guy around the same age, is standing approximately 2 to 3 meters away from her with a professional video camera in his hands. He looks like a student, too. BREE (angry) What do you mean you are not coming? I've already paid you! No! No! You can't do that! You can't do that to me! I paid the full amount you asked for! I counted on you! Please, just come! It will not take long! (pause) What? I don't need the money! I need you to come and do your job! We had a deal! I need it today! Hello? Hello?? She turns to Steven. BREE (CONT'D) (shocked) She hung up on me! He looks at her with a 'sorry' expression on his face. BREE (CONT'D) What am I going to do now??! I need this to be done today! BACK TO THE HOUSE: Kaden is going out of the house now and walks towards an expensive-looking car. There is a driver in the car waiting for him. The moment Kaden opens the rear door to get in, a beautiful blonde girl - OlIVIA, Kaden's sister, rushes out of the house towards him. 3. OLIVIA Oh wait, wait! Wait for me! And gets into the car in a hurry. KADEN To university? OLIVIA Nope. Just drop me off at the traffic lights. I'll walk from there. And smiles. Kaden smiles back. BACK TO BREE: She is wearing a different outfit now. Looks like a street walker. The clothes on her are kind of old and torn and her makeup looks like she slept in it for the past several nights in a row. BREE (to Steven) How do I look? STEVEN You look great! BREE Okay? STEVEN Okay! BREE OK, let's start then! She takes a deep breath and then moves into the busy crowd. BACK TO KADEN AND OLIVIA: The car reaches a cross-street and stops at a red light. It is the same street where Bree is making a social experiment film with her friend. We see her asking people for money on the street like a beggar. BACK TO KADEN AND OLIVIA: As soon as the car stops, Olivia decides to get out there. 4. OLIVIA All right, I'm getting out here. (kisses her brother) See you at home, handsome. (to the driver) Bye, Stefan. She gets out of the car and starts searching something in her bag. Kaden notices Bree and opens the car window a little bit to see what she is doing. And he sees: BREE (to a man) Sir, please give me some money. I'm very hungry. (to a woman) Ma'am, please? Everyone is looking at her with judging eyes. A MAN What are you gonna do with the money? BREE I'm gonna buy food, sir. I'm hungry. THE MAN Really? Are you sure you wanna buy food? Kaden is disgusted by what he sees. THE MAN (CONT'D) Sorry, I don't have any money to buy drugs for you. BREE (to the man) Sir, please, I just wanna eat... Kaden can't see it anymore. He closes the window. The traffic light turns green. The car starts moving. BACK TO OLIVIA: Finally she finds whatever she was searching for in her bag. And then she looks over the crowd of people and sees Bree and Steven. She smiles as soon as she sees them and stealthily approaches Steven. He is filming Bree in a close hiding spot. Olivia is surprised to see Bree playing a street walker. 5. OLIVIA What is she doing? STEVEN Acting. OLIVIA What about the actress she hired? STEVEN She ditched us at the last minute. THE SAME STREET. THE SOCIAL EXPERIMENT IS OVER. Bree has changed her clothes. Now she is wearing the same clothes she wore before the social experiment. She comes up to Steven. Olivia is here too. BREE So how was it? STEVEN Just perfect! You should have gone into acting! They laugh. OLIVIA (to Bree) You are coming tomorrow, right? BREE Coming where? OLIVIA Oh, come on! Tomorrow evening? Party? At a very nice place? Remember? BREE I don't know, Oli. I'm not even invited. I don't know anyone there. OLIVIA What do you mean you are not invited? You are my guest! I'm inviting you! BREE Oli.. 6. Bree is checking if everything is okay. One of the nurses, MOLLY, comes up to her. MOLLY Okay, I think, we are done. Everything looks great. BREE (happily looks at the place) Yes, I think so, too. You know, we have really done a great job here today. I'm sure Mr. Edison will love it. MOLLY Oh, he surely will. I mean, look at the place. Oh, I envy him so much! No one has ever done something like this for me. BREE (hugs her) Ohh, don't be sad. We will do the same for you on your birthday. Okay, now we have to get glammed up for the party. It is starting soon! 8. THE PARTY. EVENING It has already started. Everyone, including Bree, the care home personnel and old people staying there, are wearing nice clothes. Mr. Edison, for whom the party is organized, is wearing a very nice suit, too. Bree and Molly come up to him. BREE Oh, look at our birthday boy! Does anyone know who this handsome is? And she hugs the old man. He is happy. He is old and looks a little sick and weak. MR. EDISON Thank you so much, my dear girls. You made my day! MOLLY (hugging Mr. Edison) Okay, now let's go and enjoy the party. A PUB - THE SAME EVENING: The outside of the pub. Main entrance. The pub's name "Mayson's" above the front door. It is situated somewhere near the care home. A car arrives in front of it and Kaden with his friend, ZACHARY (ZACH in short) get out of the car. KADEN So this is the new charming place you discovered? ZACH You will love it, too! BACK TO THE PARTY AT THE CARE HOME: Everyone is enjoying the party. Molly walks to the center. MOLLY (loud, to get everyone's attention) Okay, everybody. Gather around, please. Now it's time to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy and cut the cake! The old people are happy. Bree and two other nurses bring in the cake. But Mr. Edison is not around. MOLLY (CONT'D) So where is our birthday boy? Mr. Edison? Everyone looks around. But there is no sign of him. BREE Where is Mr. Edison? Everyone is confused. THE PUB: Surprisingly, Mr. Edison is here. He apparently left the care home so stealthily that no one noticed. He is now drinking beer at the pub. There are some young people standing around him. They are the staff waiters and 10. waitresses. And apparently, this is not the first time Mr. Edison has come to this pub. Because it looks like the staff know him well and even treat him well here. The place owner, a man aged around 35-40, is observing him behind the bar. He smiles as he sees how Mr. Edison is having fun. Then he picks up the pub's phone and makes a call. THE CARE HOME: Everyone is worried, still looking for Mr. Edison. At this moment, one of the nurses come and THE NURSE He is at Mayson's pub. ANOTHER NURSE Again? THE NURSE Yeah. Mayson just called. BREE At least he is okay. Let's go get him then. THE PUB: Kaden and Zach are sitting at a corner table and having some drink. Then we see how Bree and Molly walk into the pub through the main door and look for Mr. Edison. Kaden and Zach can't see them yet. The place owner sees the girls and gestures towards the place where Mr. Edison is. Mr. Edison is sitting near the bartender. The girls go towards him. MOLLY Mr. Edison. Mr. Edison is dissapointed to see them. And he looks like he is already drunk. MR. EDISON Oh no! No, girls, please... I'm not going anywhere. BREE (to the bartender) You gave him alcohol? THE BARTENDER Come on, girls, he said it is his birthday today. Besides, it is just beer. 11. MOLLY You know what it does to him! THE BARTENDER Sorry, couldn't say no. BREE (to Mr. Edison) Okay, Mr. Edison. You've had your fun. Now it's time to go home. Everyone is waiting for you. MR. EDISON A little longer, please? And they help him up and put their arms around his shoulders, helping him walk out of the pub. And at this moment, Kaden sees them. He sees Bree. Not clearly, but he kind of recognizes the girl he saw on the street in the morning of the same day. While the girls are just helping Mr. Edison walk out of the pub, he sees all these like two young ladies walking out from a pub with an old rich man. He is kind of disgusted again by what he sees. Zach sees the look on his face and turns to see what he is looking at. He sees them from behind. Thinks the same as Kaden. ZACH Old men rule, huh? KADEN (with a sarcastic smile) Yeah.
