"Miss daisies gonna kill us for being this late" exclaimed Mary."Don't worry about it. I've always wanted an adventure like this one". Mary looked up at him, confused. "This is your idea of an adventure lost in a forest with no food or water" Mary smirked. "Well yeah, I mean you never know what could happen that's the beauty of it. Anyway, tell me something about yourself" he asked. "There's nothing really special about me that would interest you". Henry laughed. "Oh well, then tell me where did you live before here?". "I umm used to live in Chicago before". "Hey, I went there last summer with my friends, it was great". "Really, I don't think anything is interesting about the place". "Well uh, I thought the beaches were great." Henry shrugged. "Yeah, I guess". Henry looked her way involved. "Sounds like you don't like the place that much how come?" he asked curious. Mary opened her mouth, unable to say anything." I...hh... I think we're lost," Mary said abruptly. I tried calling just now, but I guess there just isn't any cell reception here. Maybe if I climb up that tree, I might get a signal"." That's a good idea, why don't you go up that tree and fall again, so I have to carry you back the next time" she yelled. "Woah calm down I'm sure we're close". "Give me your phone stay here while I go up," Mary said. Mary pushed her weight up the brittle twigs putting her feet in between the branch openings pushing herself up. " Be careful" Henry warned. Mary reached the highest point of the tree and slowly took Henry's phone out, holding it up towards the sky." Hey Henry, I got a bar, thank god". She dialled the first name on the contacts list" Hi Lydia, It's me, Mary from your economics class umm listen Henry and me are stuck somewhere in this forest, and we need someone to help us out can you give the phone to Miss Daisy"."Henry, I don't have time for your pranks right now Casy is being a real b***h"."No, Lydia, it's me Mary from your home class - the phone call ended. Mary sighed wearily and began her trek down. "Henry, you need to climb this tree and talk to someone, no one seems to know who I even am," Mary said while climbing down the tree. As she reached the ground, she turned but didn't see Henry anywhere. "Henry, where are you," She said in shock "Okay okay, you got me now come out where ever you are". Eary silence covered the corners, and the chirping of the birds had miraculously stopped. The howling wind roared ferociously and had whipped Mary's back. "Ahhhh" Mary screamed. "Henry, this isn't funny anymore!". Darkness hid as a blanket over her. Fearful Mary froze. She stopped. She waited. Suddenly, a crackle was heard within the distance, and Mary turned her tense head. A tall man was coming towards her. "Oh thank god Henry where did you go?". Dressed in Black, the figure started to appear slowly approaching Mary. Soon Mary realised this was not the man she thought. Dook dook dook dook. Her heart pounded as she heard every beat through her eardrums. The pressure increased. The sound increased. The throbbing increased. Her breaths were getting heavier and heavier as she took a step back. Soon the dark man stopped while only 10 feet away. His face held a mask with blood drops all around it. His knife pointed towards Mary gradually moving up to her head. Mary wanted to run, but she stayed immobilised in the shock of her traumatic death she saw in front of her. " If I were you, little girl, I would run". A deep voice croaked from him. A chill ran down her spine as she closed her eyes and instantly teared up silently." Dear God, Please show mercy and protect me from all evil". Mary whispered to herself in terror while holding her cross necklace and repeated it faster each time. As she slowly opened her eyes, The man had disappeared nowhere to be. Mary sighed relief wiping her tears falling to the ground. She bowed down in great gratitude and put her head on the autumn leaves, saying" Thank you". Suddenly, Mary's head got smashed into the earth. Gasping for air Mary screamed as she kicked her legs vigorously. Her hands were crushed by his feet, immobilising her entirely like a beetle being squashed. She screamed louder as a slit was gradually placed on her chest. It all went dizzy then suddenly dark. Blackness blackness everywhere.
