He pushed the door further after my hands left it, his legs walking into the room.
"Where have you been?"
His voice growled again.
I stood fixed at the spot, not knowing what to say.
His eyes ran over my body. I was naked, but it didn't move him like the other times.
"Have you gone deaf, Amelia?
You were meant to appear at the function with me, weren't you?"
He asked, while his eyes desperately searched for answers.
"I-I'm sorry, I stepped out because I had an emergency."
I stammered, but he wouldn't buy it .
"What stupid emergency do you think is more important than what we had today?"
He watched me go dumb again, then he hissed.
"Don't bother, I'll find out where you have been myself. "
He snapped and began to walk towards the door.
I chased after him, "wait."
"I- I want to ask you something. "
I stammered. I didn't realize I was this scared of him.
My heart began to beat faster as soon as I tried to speak, being so scared to mention the things I had in mind.
He turned to face me, his look hastening me to speak.
I gulped as I tried to find my tongue, and after watching me for two seconds, he hissed and turned to walk out of the door.
"Wait, I-I wanted to ask you about the curse you're under, what is it about?"
I croaked, even scared of my own courage.
Oliver's eyes narrowed immediately and his eyebrows arching several shades darker than his hair. "What audacity!" He growled.
He turned towards me again, this time properly with his whole body.
"You don't have the right to mettle into my personal life, clear?"
He howled, while pointing at me with his index finger.
I nodded, gulping as much as I could. The room tenser, thick hot air escaping my breath.
"Good."
He blurted and stormed out of the door
I sank into the bed immediately.
Unlike other times with him, I felt visibly angry because I didn't understand why he treated me the way he did.
It was obvious he doesn't even recognize me as his half and that was sad.
And now it was obvious it would be hard to get the information I needed concerning my conditions, because I couldn't possibly discuss it with him.
Morning came, and the soft knock of one of the maids woke me up.
When I opened the door, she placed a set of clothes on the bed before turning to leave.
"It's 20 mins to breakfast, Ma."
I nodded immediately, and quickly shut the door.
After I was done showering and dressing up, I made my way to the dinning.
Again the dining room reminded me of how much my life had changed.
Back in the Crescent pack, I wasn't allowed to be in the corridors of the dinning when my family had dinner.
My father would say, "I don't want people knowing that a weakling like you is my daughter. "
He would always make sure I ate in my room, which was an abandoned section of the house.
I gulped, I could feel my wolf Lura jumping in excitement. She loved the good things of life. This would be my first time joining the table as Luna.
I approached the table, and there was only one person seated there, and he wasn't Oliver.
Walking calmly to my seat, the maid pulled it out and I sat.
"Good morning, her highness."
The man had said bowing to me.
I raised my head to meet him, and my eyes widened.
"Wait! what? What are you doing there?"
I asked. Excitement ran over me, while he held his hands to me for a shake.
He was smiling widely.
"I told you, I'm from the Star moon pack."
He sounded calm.
"Oh my! You mentioned it, Damian."
"You still remember my name?"
He asked calmly, still spreading his perfect detention.
"Of course, I'd never forget. Thank you for saving my life."
I held his hands and after the warm shake he placed a small box on the table, "I didn't mean to be too forward, but I got you this."
His voice came lightly as he pushed the box to my side.
"Wait, wait," I smiled, while trying so hard to contain my joy.
There was something individual about this man. Just when I felt his eyes and good heart was all that caught me the last time, here he was entrapping me with his charms.
"I really want to know why you're here. I'm not trying to be rude, but I mean Oliver wouldn't allow me to have breakfast with you if he doesn't know you."
"You mean your husband?"
The word husband cracked me a little and I just smiled.
I nodded lightly while my ears desperately yearned for answers.
"Well, you're absolutely correct. I have lived in this palace even before you got crowned, I wasn't available for your crowning though. I had some other things to attend to."
He stated calmly. And I just stared blankly at him.
"So you knew me before you saved me?"
He chuckled, "Yes, I did, I'm sorry I lied to you."
"But why?"
My lips still curled up in awe. The charms in his eyes were not giving me room to be pissed off.
"I just had to. Come on, open your gift." He said, pointing at the box.
My voice echoed as I stared deep into his eyes, “Who are you, Damian?”
