Chapter 2: Crazy Friends

"Hey, puta." I turned to see Briana walking with Maya and Johanna.

"You need a new word." I retorted.

"Not a chance, she calls her boyfriend puta when he doesn't get her churros." Maya chuckled.

"Remind again why am I friends with you three." Johanna said while raising an eyebrow.

"Cause you love us." I grinned.

"I knew there was a reason." She sighed as we laughed.

"Hey, Kyle knows that no churros, no kiss." She giggled.

"Sure thing, sugar lips." Kyle said giving her a kiss.

"Morning girls." He said to us.

"Morning." We all said in unison.

Kyle and Briana have been together a year too. But the difference is, they still have that passion and spark. You could tell by looking at them.

"Where's captain annoying." He said referring at Andrew.

"Lockers, I think." I shrugged.

"If you are not happy with him, you should break up with him." Kyle said to me

"I'm happy with him." I faked a smile before leaving.

"Yeah, I'll believe that when pigs fly." He said making them all chuckled.

"The only reason why she stays with him is cause he loves her daughter." Johanna added.

"I know for a fact there's a cute guy who has had his eyes on Krystal since last year." Briana said to them.

"And who might that be." Kyle asked.

"Shannon Langdon." Briana answered.

"Interesting, now those two would be perfect for each other." Johanna said while tapping her mouth.

"Don't get involved. If they are meant to be they will find each other." He told them before leaving.

"Well, we can always ask the teachers to pair them, we will give them a sappy story and they will bite." Johanna suggested. they all nodded.

Since it's a new year, the teacher made me sit down next to Shannon, which is fine by me.

"Do you have any idea how boring Biology is." I sighed as he chuckled.

"Trust me I know, I fell asleep once." He said.

"Told you they would find each other." Kyle said to Briana.

"Yeah well, bite me." She told him.

"Oh, I will." He smirked.

"Pay attention, lovebirds." Maya said to them.

"I need vacations." Johanna said while putting her head down on the desk.

After classes they did as promised, to put me and Shannon in every project or sit down together, those three are very sneaky and got what they wanted.

"I'm home." I yelled and Alex came running.

"I missed you." She hugged me

"I missed you too." I gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"How was first day?" Mom asked.

"Same comments." I sighed as I put Alex down, she went to her room.

"Are you still with Andrew?"

"Yeah, he is still my boyfriend." I faked a smile.

"I'm your mother, that fake smile doesn't work on me." She wiped my tears, didn't realized I was crying.

"You don't have to stay with him if there's no love." 

"Well, considering it's hard to find someone who would still want to be with you after finding you have a kid, guess Andrew will remain my boyfriend." With that being said I left.

I went to take a shower and got ready to take Alex for some ice cream.

After 5 minutes, We finally made it there. I order and then went to take a seat at a booth.

"Mommy, Andrew is over there with a girl." I turned my back and saw Andrew being flirty with some girl. To be honest I'm not surprised, he has always been flirty. Even at the beginning of our relationship.

"Maybe it's his cousin." I said to her.

"Is this seat taken?" I look up to see Shannon.

"No, please join us." I smiled.

"Anyone ever told you what a cute little girl you are." He told Alex.

"I am?" She pointed at herself. I just chuckled.

"Yes, you are." 

"So, what brings you here?" I asked.

"My aunt owns this place and asked if I could help her today. I said yes, plus free ice cream." He grinned making me laugh.

"Free ice cream or any food is the best." I said to him. 

"I agree with you." He chuckled.

"Mommy, I need to pee." 

"Come on, plus your face needs major cleaning." I picked her up. "Excuse me." I said to him.

"Is that the girl?" His aunt asked.

"The one and only." He smiled.

"What are you waiting for?" She asked.

"She is with that asswipe over there." He pointed at Andrew.

"For someone in a relationship he sure seems pretty flirty with other girls." She mentioned.

"Yeah, he doesn't deserve Krystal." 

"Hope she ditches him." with that she left.

"We are back." I announced.

"Hey mister, what's your name." Alex asked.

"Shannon." He extended his hand.

"I'm Alex." She extended her little hand and shook Shannon's hand.

"Really, of all people?" I look up to see Andrew with some girl.

"Andrew, we talked about this." 

"Yeah well, you are my girlfriend and I don't appreciate you being with another guy." 

"Funny coming from someone who his with a girl who's not his girlfriend." I shot back.

"Andrew, leave this place." Shannon said to him.

"And who exactly are you to tell me to leave." 

"My nephew and I'm the owner, so beat it boy." She said to him and he left with the girl.

"You have a cute little girl." She told me while looking at Alex.

"Thank you." 

"Can I have more ice cream." Alex asked.

"Of course you can." She said and then went to get ice cream.

"She is gonna be on a sugar rush later." I sighed, he just laughed.

I stayed there for an hour then went home, despite Andrew's scene. I had a great time talking to Shannon and his aunt. Alex became so comfortable around Shannon, she is usually shy around new people. There's just something about Shannon that draws me.
